The hotel is old, which wasn’t a problem. The public areas were clean and well maintained. Our room looked clean, but the curtains were ragged, the some of the windows lacked screens. That was important because the air conditioning wouldn’t work so we had to open the windows.
Our biggest complaint was there was NO room housekeeping at all. We had to go downstairs to ask for fresh towels, coffee pods and soap refills. The rooms were quite expensive, about $200.00, per night. We had expected much better from a Best Western branded hotel. What we found was service from a super budget hotel. There was a sign, behind another sign on the counter stating the hotel cannot get housekeeping staff and so they can’t do daily room maintenance. The notice advised we could request service, but it was too late by then. If there is not going to be service then the hotel should reduce the price accordingly.
The breakfast was good, and the attendant cheerful. The hotel is very nicely situated, in front of the river. The park surrounding the property is lovely.

Stay was good.Was with my 89 yr old mother @ the shower was very slippery.Some type of surface in the shower would definitely lessen a fall such as a mat or stick on rough strips.

Beautiful area around this well preserved 1917 hotel. Darla at the front desk was great and very informative! Room and bed were just right. We’ll be back to fish and soak!

HOWEVER, Renea at the front desk was awesome, helping us thru the entire mess, and really went out of her way to get us situated(even though we booked thru a 3rd party site). This hotel is quite nice, and our king room was awesome! Great firmish bed w/ great linens, and very clean. The bonus is the minieral bath fed from the local natural hot springs. I highly recommend this hotel, however I can NOT recommend Expedia....

We love the fact that the hot tub is actually the “Healing Waters” of Thermopolis hot springs. The property is historic, but with all modern amenities. Staff are pleasant, helpful and friendly. Beds are comfy and we’ll definitely return.
