Stayed here when up for concert and an evening out. Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived and showed us to the room. The room was exactly as needed, not huge but we just wanted a bed for the night and it suited us perfectly. Bed was comfy and bathroom was clean and there was space to sit down as needed on small table. If up in Nottingham we'd book again to stay!

great place to stay, convenient to everything

Really cute little place right in the centre of Nottingham, ten mins walk from the train station. Reception staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the room was clean and cosy. Highly recommend! Will be back.

Just a 1 night stay for a family party. Basic room, fab price & location. Clean, had everything we needed. Staff were friendly, offered free tea & coffee in morning although we didn't actually take it! Would def stay again.

A lot better than one might think from the outside. I was quite worried considering it's down a little alley way but during the day there are people about and at night there is a restaurant next door. It's a short walk too so I never felt scared. The people working there were quite nice. The property has two different doors so it's a little frustrating if you need the kitchen, for example, because you have to ring the buzzer and can't just go straight in. Minor thing but if you had the munchies at 3am and needed the microwave, that might be an issue. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable. I wish the sink had more space but that's a minor thing as there is a desk. I appreciated having the extra seating when I just wanted to relax/have a snack. It was raining while I was there, and they let me borrow an umbrella which I was grateful for. Great location/easy to walk everywhere! WiFi worked well. I would stay here again.

A very small hostel, centrally located. Friendly staff. Sleep and shower type of place

Fantastic 'Emma' mattress gave a really good sleep. Room was basic but that was as expected. Location of Igloo impossible to beat..... is the most central location possible. Parked 5 mins away at St James' NCP for £10 for 24 hours. Overall very very good will return ( and very pleasant staff !)

It’s the first time I’d stayed in a hostel in the UK and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’d definitely stay again. It felt like a home from home, with a warm welcome and great facilities. We stayed in a bunk bed room with no windows as it was the only one left. The beds were comfy and the fan was brilliant at keeping us cool. There were people in the other rooms we shared a bathroom with, but we never saw them. The location was brilliant, we didn’t get chance to use any of the communal facilities but they looked great. Would definitely recommend.

Really impressed with cleanliness of shared bathrooms, including regular changing of mats, which makes a big difference. Stay was fantastic value - Very central, reasonably comfortable for the price. Staff were very friendly. I'll be back!

It’s located very central and easily walkable to most city attractions, pubs, restaurants, etc. Stairs only and no parking within 5-10 minutes. 40 hours cost just under GBP30. Wi-Fi in rooms questionable. In the kitchen/ communal area it’s fine. The staff took care of our laundry needs (GBP7 ?) came back fresh and clean . Would happily stay here again

In general all was great,greeted on arrival,told what facilities were available & if we needed anything, only needed to ask.As we were a family of 3,1 person had to sleep on the sofa/futon bed.This wasn't comfortable at all as it had no additional matress/layer for comfort,therefore you could feel the metal bars beneath your body.In the room it's self there's nowhere to place your clothes,no means of hanging facilities for the duration of your stay only coat hooks.In the bathroom albeit it's very clean & ideal there is no where to place your toiletries,no shelf or otherwise, so again a little difficult to unpack anything as such.Fine for a night maybe but any longer, depending on the person & their belongings,it becomes a bit odd living out of a case or bag as you can't really properly unpack.I wished that the bath/shower towels had been slightly larger too,for bigger/larger sized people they are on the small side & fit where they touch should we say.Not the whole population the world over are slender,so maybe a better fit with bath sheets as apposed to towels that way they fit all the way around.Very helpful staff indeed,even to finding a mobile phone charger, to borrow temporarily, for my daughter who'd forgotten her correct lead to travel with.Without hesitation I would stay here again, extra facilities of a communal area & kitchen are advantageous as well as pleasant,friendly staff,their want to help you when needed, nothing is too much trouble & luggage storage too

Does need an update. However, it was clean nice size with TV and good size bathroom. I would stay again as there were no issues. Close to arena and in the city centre down an alleyway so quite. Friendly staff.

This place is just great! The staff were funny and helpful, and the communal kitchen was excellent. Nice mix of hostel and hotel.

Quiet and clean place but with (understandably) only basic facilities. Cold rooms.

Really cosy stay. Comfortable bed and very clean room with a good feel to it. Staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. Definitely will stay here again when I have another concert at the Theatre Royal. Artwork around the hostel is really cool as you can see from the photo of the breakfast/chill out room.

It's the 2nd time we stayed here and the only not so great thing was the tiny double bed as my husband is 6ft 2. It was small and cosy, no signs of the same sofa as pictured but for one night it was ideal.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable bed. No issues with the hostel, but there was a loud bar next door which fortunately quietened down about 11pm. This didn't impact sleep, but might for some!

Wi fi was a major problem. Also had to go out for all meals.

Such a fantastic hostel. Amazing value for money. The communal area is so cute and the staff in there made myself and my little sister feel welcome. We stayed in one of the train rooms and it made it really fun for my sister especially stopping in bunk beds. We did have to share a bathroom with the other train rooms but it was kept super clean and wasn't an issue. The bed was really comfy too. Cosy and cute, great for kids.

The price is cheap. The bedroom and shared bathroom is okay. However, the wifi is too weak and I have to use my data.

It was in a brilliant location, easy to find and just what we needed for our stay, after watching a show.
