The hotel seems have deteriorated a lot, is no longer that nice and money worth hotel i stayed at over a year ago. The room had unplaster and unfinished wallls, water leak stains, damage curtains, despite of hanging the privacy sign on the door the housekeeper still went into my room. No towels in the rooms when i arrived but i was told my room was ready. Honestly I was dissapointed of my stay at Best Western New Orleans East.

They didnt have enough towels. Breakfast times were not as posted and very limited. Pool was a dirty color. Most staff were nice and professional but others lacked both.

Room was old. Needs an update bad! The room had no towels and then house keeping came around we didn’t think the person actually worked at the hotel. She was on her phone and had regular clothes on. When I told her we needed towels I waited 3 hours still no towels. My husband had to go downstairs and remind them. When the staff came back she said “Mybad I forgot.” We wanted to shower so we could start our day and you forgot. You can just tell the staff do whatever they want and don’t put a lot of effort into their work ethic. Didn’t have breakfast. We were busy getting sleep finally after hearing the one working elevator go off a million times through the night. Everytime the air turned off the room got extremely humid and the hallways felt like we were outside. Our last night while we were packing we saw a huge roach and had to shake our clothes that night and the morning of checkout. Will not come back. The price was definitely not worth it

Everyone was overall nice, but definitely unorganized and not as clean. Shower curtains were BROWN at the bottom and bathtub was dirty. After checking in, about an hour later, staff came to put pillow cases on our pillows because they forgotten/didn’t know someone checked in. We also checked in about an hour after checkin time.

Housekeeping was horrible. Front desk was not Present at all times you had to stand in the line when there was nobody at the desk. Continental breakfast was not served every day due to staff not coming in. Hotel water leaks in it with mold, coming off the elevator

Elevator broken, dirty carpet, no towels. Grounds unkept. Grass half way cut. I did enjoy being out by the pool. Will never stay again. Oh I forgot the AC was out in all the community areas for our first 24 hours.

The lobby did not have A/C working. Our room was missing a minifridge and trash can. The A/C in the room was fantastic thankfully but the hallways were dirty. It looked as if some repaira were made and the workers did not clean up after. The breakfast had a good variety. The front staff worker was nice but he said he could not help because he was the only one there.

It was disgustingly dirty there was dog poop in the hallway, the time were so dirty and smelled awful filled with mold and mildew, i took photos.

A mold infested health hazard! The smell was almost unbearable. Mold was on the walls in the hallways and ceiling. This place needs to be shut down. Highly do not recommend due to health risks.

Our experience with this hotel was wonderful! With all honesty we came in with low expectations because of the bad reviews but we couldn’t have been more wrong. The staff was fantastic! Very kind and understanding. Latrice (I may have spelled that wrong, sorry girl) at the front desk deserves a raise! She was so courteous and understanding, just all around amazing! My family adored her. So to address some of the bad comments that scared us-> no the pool isn’t disgusting and impossible to swim in. It seemed clean and well maintained and my family enjoyed it for the 20 minutes we got in haha! Thanks Louisiana weather.. Yes, one of the elevators is down- but everyone seemed to manage JUST FINE! And considering there was a huge amount Of people there for a bikers event ! Id say if you’re visiting- you’ll also be fine with just the one! The breakfast wasn’t amazing but considering it was free to the guest I definitely felt it shouldn’t have been dogged so badly. The staff definitely kept breakfast stocked up and ready to go! We did have to move rooms because I’m clumsy af and almost broke my leg in the bathroom getting out of the shower, in the process I damaged their shower rod and wall where it was attached at… sooooo embarrassing but they relocated us to a different room so they could repair it and they were incredibly kind about it! My only complaint was about that first room. Room 510 - the A/C had a little bit of mold growth .. too be expected with the humidity in that room

What used to be a nice hotel is now run-down and dirty. Only 1 (of 2) elevators working, slippery floors with thrash thrown about, especially in the entryway. 6th Floor: Ceiling water damage by elevator, staff supply room door open with supplies disheveled about, hallway reeks of mildew, cardboard covering what should have been a fire extinguisher! Rm: mostly OK, surfaces had uneven cleaning, toilet rocked/moved when used, sink drain inoperable, tub dripped water with water shut off.

The staff was not friendly at all .We checked in around 5pm and the room was still not ready housekeeping was still in there. One of the elevator was broken. The lobby and hallways had a sour smell. The room was any better. The pool area was nasty and had things flowing the pool it was unusable.

They didn’t have bath covers and vents are not working

Can´t use the pool (the water was green). The only ice machine that works was on floor 5. The milk in the breakfast buffet was sour. The safe in the room didn´t have batteries.

The front desk staff were very friendly, but this hotel was disgusting. There was blood in different spots in our bathroom, mold growing everywhere, and the carpet in the room felt wet and left your feet/socks black on the bottom. No fans in the bathroom either so it was unbelievably humid, and the room and bedding was ALWAYS damp. The front desk staff gave us a new room after we found the blood, but the next room wasn’t much cleaner. The hotel is pretty isolated, I would highly recommend staying in a hotel down in the French quarter or anywhere closer to the hot spots of New Orleans.

My room had roaches. I saw 3. The hallway had trash and sheets in it for days. The hallway smelled like mildew and had big holes in the walls. My room floor was constantly wet in places. The toilet hedges were dirty and yellow. So nasty, I covered it up with Lysol wipes. This is a shameful Best Western. I will never come back. On a brighter note, all employees were very nice.

Had so much trouble with the key had to get it programed 20 times irritating as i couldn't get in my room unless I ran back and forth to the lobby night clerk very helpful day girl very impolite

I was very disappointed with my room, which was number 227. The bathroom ceiling was corroded. The toilet would not stop running. The bathtub was terribly stained the sink. Water never ran hot. It stayed cold. Not enough food for the breakfast. The workers did not want to prepare more food, even though it was nowhere near 9:00 AM, not fair to the guest at all I really would like a refund

Arrived around 2:50am and waited for about 10-20 minutes at the front desk and had to call out for someone to come out just to be told we couldn’t check in because it was after 3, the front desk agent who was there the next day was amazing and able to accommodate us even though I was unable to use my original booking. Room was clean but the following day our room was walked into by a staff member clearly looking for someone while we were in the room. On our last day housekeeping knocked very hard on our door several times from 8 or 9am up until 11 with several attempts to open the door and come in. Overall stay was ok for the price

The customer service was poor, they refused to take cash deposit for the night( it’s been a week and my deposit hasn’t been refunded as of yet), there was only 1 elevator working and the staff didn’t keep the area of where breakfast was being served clean and they ran out of food before the was up.

Only one of two elevators worked and the one that did work only went to floor 6 out of 8 so we had to get off and take the stairs. The shower had no temp adjustment, It was always extremely hot. All the floors in the place were dirty and sticky. Looked like it hadn’t been mopped in months. Breakfast was pretty poor. Only one waffle maker so when 6 people were waiting for a waffle that took 3 min to cook, you had to wait 15-20 min for yours or get something else. One morning they had cereal as a second option but the next morning they didn’t. Curtains in our room were broken and half falling down so we couldn’t keep the bright morning light completely out. The side door to get in worked when it wanted to so sometimes we were locked out and had to walk all the way around to the front. Pretty piss poor stay for a best western to be honest and will make me second guess ever staying at a best western ever again.

Hotel staff was very friendly, all our needs were met. When we asked for something they brought it up to us promptly. The free breakfast was very good. The hallway leading to our room was dirty, stains on the carpet, trash all along the hallway, and smelt like cigarettes and marijuana. Our room was pretty clean compared to the hallway, thank goodness. Our toilet seat was cracked and there was no refrigerator (advertised) and the cabinet where the fridge was supposed to be the door was off the hinges and laying against the cabinet. The walls were a little discolored (possibly mold?). The tub bottom could have been cleaner. The bed linens appeared to be clean and there were no stains on the carpet in the room. The room did have a funny smell upon entering. I was told the pool was open upon check in, so I took my kids to the pool later that evening, the pool was green and trash was floating in it, employee came out and told me it was closed that they just put a bunch of chemicals in it and it should be open the next day (did not smell any chemicals and the pump wasn't running, the pool looked exactly the same next day, my kids were disappointed).

There were cockroaches and gnats everywhere this is my second time staying here the first time was amazing. This second time I'm not sure what was going on but the hallways smelled wet and I had gnats everywhere. I know in my room I killed at least for water bugs.

Didn’t even finish checking in. Girl at the desk ran my card then asked for a deposit that couldn’t be excepted in cash so the reservation ended up being canceled and I’m still trying to get my money refunded.

Everything was good the only thing was no trash cans in the room.
