Fabulous friendly welcome, excellent room with large very comfortable bed. Quiet overnight

Great place. The front office personnel were courteous and knowledgeable of the area. Room was clean and everything was to our liking.

The motel was quaint but comfy, the beds were divine. Very small town feel and clean. So many amazing restaurants and the beach is in walking distance.

My only complaint is the bathroom is very small. There is just a sink (no vanity) so storage of toiletries was practically non existent. There was only a very small cabinet above the sink which offered little space.

Peter at the front desk was great. The property was well maintained and the pool was very clean.

Room was dirty and needs some renovations!! We paid almost 700$CAD for 2 nights. For a room like that we would pay 50$/night at other places!!

Wells Moody Hotel was your basic roadside hotel. Rooms face the road and are on one level. Walls were thin, bed was good size for two, and the bathroom was small but adequate. Check in was easy. I’d say this would be a good option if getting a room last minute. Otherwise, better to pay a bit more to get a known hotel.

Wells Moody motel is a great option for travelers to stay at while vacationing in the Southern Maine coastline. There is ample parking , the grounds are well manicured, and staff are very friendly. There were dining options near the motel. However it is a bit of a walk if one desires. There is a trolley service nearby one can take to nearby Ogunquit.

We brought our bikes knowing the commute to the Ogunquit beach was a close one. The pool was warm and clean. The rooms are average, we found a q-tip under the desk and a few spider webs and the walls are paper thin. We were woken up multiple times a night from both sides of the wall from neighbors TV, random bumping, or people talking outside our room- while using a noise maker.

My biggest issue is no soap was provided to wash hands in the bathroom, which is a Maine HHS violation. Could argue this was overlooked by housekeeping or guests can call for basic sanitary needs, but that’s not the vibe (especially after you see the sign posted about urine detection chemical in use at the pool…). Cost cutting measures everywhere - only 1 cup given for coffee, but tipping envelope front and center. Wall hangings are DOUBLE SCREWED into the wall. I’ve never seen this anywhere in the world. The motel isn’t bad, and owner/manager well enough; however, gross, cheap, tacky, and unnecessary - in the order of the issues I had. 1 night max if you must.

It was ok clean nice stay

There was dust on the headboards of the beds. There was long hair. In the bathtub in on the back of a shower. The back of the toilet was stained.

Room was very clean but smelled very badly of moth balls and the lighting wasn’t sufficient. Consider removing the carpet.

Very close to US1 so it is noisy. I got room 01 near the office and the ice machine so it was noisy and the care of the facility started at 5:30 so it woke me up every morning of my stay. Nobody picked up my trash as I asked

Just what we wanted. Not a five star, but good, clean, basic room reasonably priced. Very convenient to beaches and downtown Ogunquit, being just over the border into Wells. Nice staff, easy check-in.

As I rated it average it is because the cleaning could have been better regarding the dehumidifier was slimy and gross, the bathroom sink, the spill over inside the sink was smelly and gross, mildew. The drains were slow to empty in all sinks and bathtub.

I have stayed at The Wells Moody several times and each time it has been wonderful. It is a nice simple motel that is spotless clean , right in the middle of everything and very affordable. The owners and his family who helps him are so nice. I love the chairs outside each room to sit out when you wish, and although I am not a swimmer the pool is very nice. I am coming back here on the October Holiday weekend and looking forward to it very much.
