Really enjoyed our stay in Heron Lodge. Staff were friendly, lodge was clean and quiet and bed was comfortable. We also had a lovely meal in the restaurant.

We stayed in the Captain's Cabin. We had the loveliest welcome, and the simplest possible check in! We already knew the room had low, sloped ceilings, so it just added to the special character of the place. The views from the window were amazing at sunrise and sunset. We would love to return in the future.

We had a wonderful overnight stay. Drinks available downstairs. Lovely and warm, cosy. Beautiful en suite. Lovely view. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Will definately have an evening meal next time we stay and there will definately be a next time.

Fantastic quality - Both in service and accommodation standards. A hidden gem on the Norfolk Broads. The accommodation was just what our family of 7 were looking for and so that was the primary reason for booking here for our first visit. However, it was the outstanding friendliness, service and flexibility that completely blew us away and we are already planning returning visits. 5 of our children have have special needs and are neurodiverse. So traveling is difficult when it’s a new place and sometimes we do run into difficulties when people first encounter them. However the staff were so accommodating, understanding and friendly and our children were comfortable in the space and had a wonderful time. Breakfast was tailored to our family also - again, normally very difficult to find food our autistic children will try but it was such a hit that our son asked for a second helping on our last morning and it was kindly given. The site was a winter wonderland and beautifully laid out - our lodge was built to such a high standard and heating easily controlled in each room. Everything needed was already in our lodge including a beautiful Christmas tree which made the children very happy. The only downside was leaving! We didn’t want to leave. Preparing to book again for both our summer and winter trips to Norfolk next year. Thank you a million times over for a wonderful stay.

It was all very good. A good choice of menu, the chef did a first class job of presentation of food on the plate. The staff was also very efficient.

Very peaceful and laid back….. Food and drinks brought to you…… In this heat air conditioning in room. Food cooked just right (big portions) You won’t be disappointed. I will be staying again

The best service I have ever experienced from all the staff and a stunning setting with excellent quality food and drink aswell as a beautiful well appointed room with everything we needed. I could not recommend this property more and I will go back just for a dinner and stay as it was just such a lovely experience. Absolutely delighted to have found this place.

Beautiful hotel, stunning location with lovely views over Ormesby Broad. Staff very helpful from moment of arrival to departure. Great choice of drinks at bar, including beers. Evening meal food was superb, and although the hotel and bar / food were exceptionally busy the staff were amazing and service faultless. Didn't have breakfast as we left early but will be back to stay again and this time for breakfast.

Lovely outlook over the water to watch the wildlife. Excellent accommodation in one of the lodges, extremely comfortable with good quality furniture and fittings, warm and cosy. All the staff within the hotel were excellent, we could not have had better service. The food was tasty with generous portions, no need to eat anywhere else!

Such a beautiful location, really friendly owners & spotlessly clean. We had both dinner and breakfast both of which were delicious. We had our 2 year old with us and felt very welcomed. Highly recommended!

The accommodation is near enough to easily explore the sights. I would definitely stay there again.
