It’s a nice hotel. It does have parking, which apparently is a thing here, but it’s not free. Staff was friendly. Room clean, bed comfy. Breakfast free and amazing! Easy on off highway. Down sides; connecting room so we could heat neighbors. View of the parking garage, which was also noisy. Only one elevator working. Lobby bathroom was messy. I think if I would have asked for a specific view that would obviously have been better, so that’s on me. I don’t think you should have to ask for a non-connecting room. Overall, I was a nice stay and I would stay here again, but ask for a few more specifics.

I loved it. My only issue was I got very little sleep the night before a big business conference because the occupants of the next room over were on their balcony and LOUD until about 3 am.

Staff was fantastic! We loved happy hour and breakfast. The room was absolutely perfect! Exactly as pictured online. Beautiful balcony views of the river. We’ll be back!

We have stayed here several times. We love the room layout, it's perfect for families. Breakfast included a made to order omelette station that was excellent. The view from our balcony was beautiful. Great park area across the street to take that morning walk. Great hotel!

Great all the way around. Location is very good as well. I did not like $20 a day parking. This is not Chicago.

Room was comfortable and clean. Pool area was dated, dirty, and wrecked from 30 kids in the pool (jumping, pushing, knocking over furniture). I wish the staff could have monitored that a little better. The sports bar next to it has great food but slow service on Friday night. To be expected though. The breakfast is phenominal!
Overall, good stay and would return.

Our stay was wonderful! The room was amazing, very clean and plenty of room for the kids. The balcony overlooking the river was perfect! The breakfast was delicious! So many options and the chefs at the omelette bar were extremely nice and accommodating. They had just come out of a boil water advisory when we arrived. They made sure to recommend not drinking the tap water and gave complementary bottles of water for our room. We all loved the pool and indoor/outdoor hot tub. We can’t wait to return! Thanks for the wonderful stay.

The hotel was nice, but in the room, the lights would not work properly. The switches only occasionally turned the lights on, which was frustrating.
I stayed for two nights, allowing the service team to come into my room, hoping they would restock my coffee and hot drink cups, neither were restocked, so day two I did not have in-room coffee.
The TV situation was terrible. Only local channels, but they had a fuzzy glitch that disrupted the picture every 10 seconds or so. And no free wi-fi, which is pretty much standard at 'cheaper' hotels.

The only negitive thing i can say about this is not about the hotel but some of the obnoxious guests in the pool area at the same time we were... diving when its clearly posted, splashing peoples dry clothes and the sitting area, in and out of the pool about 40 times in a 20 min window... the staff didnt do anything about it but nothing says they were even aware.. we will stay here again and do reccomend them

This is our 3rd time staying at this Embassy Suites. We love the cleanliness of the hotel. The balcony options are great. The evening cocktail service and breakfast buffet are great!

Clean in the room and throughout the property, location was great, check in was easy and service was great. Bed was too soft but that is just me. Would have been five stars but the three rooms I booked all had a view of the parking garage wall which was quite loud at times. The garage was so close I was able to remote start my car from my room. Fantastic breakfast!

There should be a section that has security. I was so happy how secure I felt. Not anyone could roam the halls. Every entry way one needed a key to move throughout the floors. The breakfast area felt like we were at a restaurant. Staff was polite and they looked like they enjoyed working there.

We had a great stay. Overall the room was pretty clean. We were a little boggled why we only had one tiny trashcan for the entire suite. The hotel is clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We will definitely return again.

Our daughter and son-in-law had their wedding reception at Embassy Suites downtown Grand Rapids August of 2022. All our guests raved about the reception, the rooms, the evening reception, and the breakfast. We decided to go back this past weekend for my daughter’s birthday. Experiencing the hotel with a lot less stress was just as amazing then the first time! The hotel is beautiful, rooms are large, clean, and comfortable! The evening reception and breakfast are fantastic and included in the price of the room. Walking distance to downtown makes this hotel the best quality and affordable place to stay when visiting Downtown Grand Rapids. To top it off, the staff through out the hotel are amazing and want to ensure you have a great time.

Just stayed for one night to be close to the downtown hospital. Room was amazing - big, and well appointed. I've stayed at most of the downtown hotels, some which charge much higher rates, and this one hits well above their weight for value. Highly recommend -- and location close to the hospital cannot be beat.

There were easily 30 10 year olds in the hot tub screaming and jumping in hot tub unsupervised. Hotel should have figured out a better plan so adults could get in hot tub. No relaxation for me at this hotel.

This was our 3rd time staying in the hotel, as we have made a tradition out of coming for a parents-only Christmas shopping date weekend. We have always enjoyed the atmosphere, hospitality, and cleanliness of the facility. However, our stay this time was not-so-great. For the second time in a row requesting a balcony suite, we arrived and checked-in only to find that we were AGAIN booked for the balcony room attached to the hotels main upstairs balcony. We’ve paid extra each time for this benefit and were greatly disappointed. The front desk was unable to get us another room because they were booked solid; so instead they comped our parking, which was the least they could do but we were satisfied. Also the breakfast quality is always one we judge other hotels against, but unfortunately during this stay was also less than ideal. The comfort of the beds and the location of the hotel were the saving grace’s this time.
