We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday night. The bar was rammed, and noisy, and we had reservations about whether to stay or not. But then the manager took us up to our room, and there was no way we were going anywhere! We had booked the suite, which has a lounge area plus bedroom area, a bathroom with a bath and a walk in shower, and even a dressing room. It was beautiful - so welcoming - we genuinely couldn't fault it. The bed was comfortable too. Unfortunately we had to leave early the next morning, so when I enquired about what to do with the key as we would be leaving before breakfast, the manager rustled up a continental breakfast for us, which he brought up to our room just a few minutes later. Granola, fresh fruit, croissant and jam. It was very thoughtful and much appreciated. We had dinner in the restaurant too - which was much quieter than the bar area - and the food was great. If we were in the area again we would hesitate to stay here.

Very well maintained and modern, attention to detail is great. Lovely rooms and great location. Busy bar and restaurant, but that’s down to the food being great.

The room was immaculately clean and the bed was extremely comfy. Very friendly staff incredibly helpful, we had dinner and breakfast and the food was 5 star

Lovely room in a friendly pub/hotel - was as good if not better than more expensive hotels stayed at. Very nice location in the countryside. Good breakfast! Would definitely recommend

Really friendly and welcoming staff, rooms are great. didn't actually eat in the restaurant but we did find the breakfast was slow and below the standard, we would have expected for the price point.
