Excekent service, quiet, great environment. For sure would return.

Friendly caring staff; beautiful estate and great hospitality!

Many nice things overshadowed by inconvenience and poor management. Good…breakfast and the staff that managed it was excellent. Fresh, delicious, good variety and good service. Location and overall beauty of the hotel property was great. However, our room #5, was dark and musty smelling. The bathroom door was a huge pivoting door that was broken and didn’t close. It was fixed a day later but it should have been fixed before our arrival, there is no way they didn’t know about it. The WiFi was down after our first night. The equipment for the WiFi was in our room so we had a repair man in our room. The first day after touring for 8 hours away from the room we came back to the repair man in our room. The second day after being gone for 5 hours same thing. Wi-Fi was still not working on top of us having no privacy and complete use of our room. No compensation was made by the hotel management!! No formal apology. No discount, bottle of wine, no gestures of apologies. Room 5 was a suite. The sitting area was sparsely furnished and not comfortable for relaxing, with one small wooden settee. Also no luggage racks for suitcases, not enough lighting, only other seating was an outdoor furniture bar with 6 stools, which we used to prop up our suitcases which didn’t was ideal. Small little table was in an outdoor cove outside of bed area that was surrounded by a 12ft high cement wall, no views. Photos on website do not represent the space accurately.

From the moment we got there the staff was attentive, friendly and competent. The dinner was Michelin quality with excellently sourced food as well as fresh vegetables from the garden. I would go again and again.

One of the most beautiful and amazing places I’ve stayed in. Miguel was far and beyond the best host of the this amazing property with the best views, amenities and service. Attention to detail it was stood out the most. Thank you Miguel and thank you Casal dos Capelinhos!

This property is absolutely gorgeous, looks like a museum. The staff is extremely kind, they came to the parking lot with umbrellas because it was raining. The food is delicious.

Loved everything about our stay at Casal Dos Capelinhos. Miguel, Maria and Pedro were all exceptionally accommodating and helpful. Food was great, both the breakfast and the dinner! Rooms and property were beautiful and great location, 5 min drive to Regau. Would definitely stay here again.

A must come to place to stay at. Beautiful room, food, wine, and gorgeous scenery of surrounding vineyards. Pedro the owner is so gracious and Miguel in reception was first class with his impeccable service. Marlin the cook is awesome, quality and taste of her food was superb, a 10!!

This visit was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Portugal. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such kindness from our host Miguel. Located in the Douro valley surrounded by beautiful terrace vineyards, this property is truly unique. There is great attention to detail throughout the experience. From the kid’s mini soccer field, to the wine tasting, and the incredible dinner and breakfast, one night wasn’t enough to soak it all in. We hope to return to this magical place!

Amazing place to stay a Douro Valley. Beautiful, clean, comfortable. Excellent breakfast and dinner. The wine testing above our expectations. Attention, and service from the staff Miguel, Pedro, Marlene and Socorro, magnificent. The room very comfortable, the bed, the linen, top quality. The bathroom excellent. Was a wonderful experience for my husband and me. I recommend this property to everyone who wants to expend beautiful days in Douro Valley. Thank you guys 🌹

Everything and more you could ask for during a stay at a quinta.

This is a beautiful Quinta of 7 rooms. Their service is fabulous, as is the food. Tomas & Miguel were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and all around very nice young men doing their job well. Kitchen staff prepared beautiful, delicious food. Rooms are modern and comfortable with plenty of amenities. Regua train station is a quick 6-7 minutes, taxis out front. They recommended a Michelin star restaurant right next to the station for lunch which was beautiful & the food was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Sent us several up-do-date messages as we approached, did a great port wine tasting, and we had a delicious meal in the restaurant.

Amazing property grounds. Pool is out of this world. Top notch staff with a special shout out to Miguel and Thomas who made my wine tasting a dinner a very memorable experience.

Everything was just great.! The staff are very nice, Thomas and Miguel. The breakfast set-up everyday was nice, the pastry and bread and fruits were always fresh.The room was clean, and we had a lovely view of the vineyard. Our dinner was excellent as well. The property was just beautiful. I will surely stay here again if i even come back to Duoro.

This property is a gem. We wish we had booked for longer! Where to start? The size and location are idyllic, nestled amongst vineyards. The feel of the place is rustic yet modern at the same time — completely charming. We felt immediately relaxed, and enjoyed mornings by the pool and day trips out. The breakfasts were the best, and we loved the special dinner they offered. Miguel and the staff are exceptional!

Quinta Noval-Casal Dos Capelinhos was an incredible stay. Everyone from Marlena, Monica, Miguel, to Pedro, made our experience special. Everything there, is about the team, continuous improvement, and giving the guests an experience of a lifetime…and they do. It is a gem of a rural establishment with a modern attitude and modern design. The staff takes a special interest in everyone and seeks to provide what one desires. We loved the fabulous breakfast (included) with granola, fruit, cheese, pastries, eggs and more… to the terrific, multi-course Michelin-like dinner… to a wine tasting not to be forgotten. Did I mention one may have “wine on demand” by a little machine in the lobby, by some of the rooms, any time of the day/night? All in all, a trip to be treasured, like a fine wine. This place is special - a real experience. Boutique hotel in a gorgeous setting with personalized service. Picture by the infinity pool…that view!! And biggest shout out to Monica who made our trip. Every recommendation (wineries, restaurants, etc) she gave was fantastic. When you have limited time in places, where you go matters and she gave us memories for a lifetime. Douro Valley generally is one of the most stunning places we’ve ever been and this hotel is conveniently located while providing total peace and serenity. Only recommendation I’d made is to do more with the beautiful patio spaces. Ours was huge with gorgeous vineyard views. Put comfortable chairs and tables out there and make it more of an outdoor living space. 5 star stay and thank you to everyone!!

This is a great property. You feel like a welcome guest in someone's private house. The room are not big but the bed was confortable and the bathroom has everything you need. Breakfast is included and this is a high point of the property. Beautiful and very tasty breakfast with a very large selection of products, some grown on the property. The staff is exceptionally helpful and attentive. Highly recommend this property.

This was our first trip to Douro Valley, and we were spoiled! This is a very small, exclusive type winery resort. They only have 7 rooms. The staff are so kind and really make you feel special. We otped for a wine tasting session, and all 4 wines we tried were amazing. We also opted for their prepared meal, which requires 24hr booking. We both ordered the beef, and it was amazing. From the homemade olive bread, barrata tomato salad, kitche special chicken soup, veal ribeye main and tasty desserts. Needless to say we left super satisfied. We had room 2, and they have recently added some masked glass to add privacy to the bathroom. Highly recommend 10 on 10!

We enjoyed the private wine tasting which was delightful. Please treat yourself to the dinner at the property it’s pricy and worth it. We had the vegetarian and cod options. Several courses and outstanding all around. The breakfast was also first rate. This two night stay was five star all the way. Monica our host was very attentive and helped us with taxi and off property reservations. We highly recommend.

This is a family owned beautifully renovated Quinta Nova , which was lovely. We liked the room choice, dining inside or out and the beautiful pool. The winemaker was available to talk about all things winemaking. We loved being able to relax at the property after sightseeing. One suggestion would be to add a few dishes to the menu to have more options for those who want dinner for more than 1 night. We will recommend to friends and hope to visit ourselves again. Grace

We had a fantastic stay. It was low season and the owners treated us like family. The food was great, the room was nice though so be aware the open concept means the shower and toilet are basically in the same room.

Everything was more than perfect. We liked everything about this hotel. We highly recommend
