This is a beautiful property on a lovely site! It is more traditional than a lot of other hotels in the area which was greatly appreciated. It still had all the usual facilities of one (ac, ensuite, balcony e.t.c) The location is absolutely fantastic, with restaurants, bars and night markets only minutes away, while still being a wonderfully peaceful spot to sleep. The staff were incredibly helpful and even hand wrote us a recommendation of local restaurants based on our tastes. We will definitely stay there again in the future!

There are no elevators, so we had to carry our luggage up three flights of stairs. This might be an accessibility issue for some people but it was mostly fine for us. Definitely still worth the stay!

It was a complete package, the personal was very nice and gave us a lot of advice on nice trips we could do. The place was also very clean which was a big plus. Also the terrace was chill, there is a nice evoirment where you can relax and chill. We planned to stay one night in the end we stayed 5, it was perfect!!

Great location in the old town. Loads of great cafes and restaurants around and on a quiet street. Well known for easy pick ups for tours etc. great pool although it isn’t as long as it looks in the cover pic. Probably about 5m. Also had a small and well priced coffee bar (which also sells beer!)

Wonderful stay at Pha Thai house. The hotel is beautiful and location in Old town is ideal. Super friendly and helpful staff, they will help organise day trips for reasonable price.

location was a bit of a long walk from some of the sights but getting around is so easy and cheap so it wasn’t really an issue for us

A quiet guesthouse n the old city. For the price paid the quality is very good. The staff were very courteous and the location is close to all the attractions in the old city.

Great location and the owner Mr Pol is lovely and has owned the guest house for 35 yrs . Its in a good location in old ChiangMai and set back from the road so you here no noise .They are currently building a cafe and bakery within the premises near the pool which will be good to have . We would stay there again for sure.

Even though there was a kettle and cups in the room there were no spoons or coffee, tea, milk supplied .

Staff very helpful. The owner and the young girl was a great help. She helped us with all the information and excursions we asked about! Very great help. Location is very good. Walking distance to most places. And lots to do. There is a pool also which is nice and breakfast is made for you!

Great location in the old walled part of the city. resort was like an oasis after the dust and bustle of the streets. Great friendly staff, who spoke English and always were available. Pool was clean and lovely to cool down in. Filtered water in foyer is fabulous to reduce the plastic waste. Breakfast were great - good for all of the family (5 of us) and very filling. wifi was excellent. Staff were amazing… we arrived at 9am tired from the train journey and they let us into our rooms immediately so we could relax and use the pool. Sunday was a perfect day to be in Changi Mai as night markets were the best we have been to and only 5 min walk from resort. highly recommend this hotel.

Having stayed here back in 2019 we already had a good idea of what to expect with the exception of post-covid changes. The location is great. We love the Lanna style of the building. The rooms were big and comfortable. Overall a very good stay.

There didn't seem to be as many staff around, whilst this didn't impact our stay that much as I'm very familiar with Chiang Mai it was still noticeable. We had 2 rooms between the 3 of us and my room was pretty good other than the fridge having a very strong mildew smell, that was simply because it had been switched off but the door closed, it did eventually go away. The 2nd room had quite a few ants. Whilst my friend didn't say anything until the end of our stay it didn't appear to have been picked up by housekeeping either. The smallest of complaints is that there could be more pillows on the bed.

Staff were lovely and helpful, booked tickets through them. Room was nice and in quiet location. Gardens were gorgeous.

Air con made strange noise at times which could wake you during the night. Pool wasn't too clean.

From start to finish my visit was exceptional. I arrived before the room was ready due to the overnight train and was allowed to leave my luggage whilst I went for breakfast. I then, by chance, asked to enter my room early, which they kindly allowed me to do. The room, even though located opposite the main stairs, was perfect. Clean, cool and did not echo any noise that I was concerned about. The breakfast was from an option of three which allowed for any taste and the coffee was gorgeous. The staff were wonderful, very helpful when arranging trips, even last minute, and booked me a taxi for departure. They were also very friendly with every encounter. There was also a push for refillable water bottles which I loved. Each room is issued a plastic bottle which you fill from the water dispenser downstairs. Also there is refillable soap and shampoo. I really liked this idea and thought it was great. The location of the hotel is perfect also. As a solo, female traveller, I felt safe, I found it easy to locate and was not hidden away. It is a beautiful hotel too. There was some building work happening, however, I barely noticed this whilst I was staying and there was clear signs saying when this would take place, which I thought was a very good idea. On departure, I was once again allowed to store my luggage following a late departure, and was able to use the pool before leaving. Thank you for a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend staying here and would stay again.

There was a bugs nest in one of the lights above the dinning room. It was easy to avoid, but something to look out for if you are not a bug fan. I am not sure if they are allowed or safe to remove, so did not complain.

This is a fantastic hotel in a great location! The staff were so friendly and helpful - particularly Pol - and were able to recommend activities and tours and helped us to book these. The rooms are serviced daily and the free included breakfast is great, basic but really sets you up for the day. There is also a water dispenser in the corridor which stops you having to buy plastic bottles which is great. The swimming pool was a nice extra, quite cold but refreshing!

The bed was very firm so not too comfortable for sitting up on but this is just personal preference.
