This is a wonderful Agroturismo, an old villa that continues to produce olive oil and wine. The villa is very charming something you would expect to see in the movies. Rooms were once workers quarters that have been refurbished into guest rooms. They were very nice. The grounds were beautiful. They had a large garden that you are free to sample items as well as several fruit trees. The pool area was particularly nice. A great quiet place to relax in the Sicilian country side. If you go, make sure you have Anna cook for you both dinner and breakfast. The food was fantastic! Thanks Anna.

We stayed in the double room deluxe. Although the owners closed the part to the kitchen, we had a very big bedroom, living room and and bathroom. The villa is in the middle of olive groves and vineyards and it's very silent. It has a beautiful swimming pool with fig trees nearby. It has free parking. The staff is incredibly friendly. They even cleaned, dried and ironed our clothes for free. The villa also offers a free visit around the estate as it's an olive oil producing villa with internationally award winning olive oil. It was very easy to communicate with the hosts who provided a lot of information about the area.

The breakfast is not included but the hosts are very clear about this so it's not really a problem.

We had a great time! The staff at the villa are lovely and the food and wine is exceptional! The Villa itself is a place of relaxation and tranquillity. When we needed to stay an extra night because of an unforeseen circumstance the staff supported us and immediately arranged for us to remain. It felt like being at home :) Our kids loved playing in the gardens and going out in the country for bike rides. We love this place!!!

One needs to use the car for daily needs (groceries, restaurants ..) .... but worth the stay!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Zottopera! This place is so cozy and beautiful. Anna, the hostesses’ great Italian food and especially the homemade pasta was just incredible! If you are looking for the authentic Sicilian experience, you should definitely stay at Villa Zottopera for a while 😊

I could write a lot about this. You wake up to birds singing and go to bed with the sound of cicadas, make friends with their two big friendly dogs and try to with the shy cats on the roof. It's a huge old Sicilian manor surrounded by working farm with hectares of olive trees (producing delicious oil), vines and fruit trees. Anna is a very good cook and she will even cook Italian food without cheese if you ask! You can cook for yourself too if you choose an apartment with kitchen (great coffee machine as well) and eat out on the terrace sipping wine and watching the stars. The 'Deluxe Studio' is recommended and is actually a grand apartment with several rooms. Peace and quiet and isolated although there's a small village nearby (Roccazzo) with a deli shop and a restaurant.

Finding the place, even with GPS! A couple of signs would be good. My tip is use Roccazzo as your destination, take the first left south of the village, this is Strada Zottoperra then take the first left up a rough track to the villa itself.
