Our one night stay was better than expected. It is an older building, but it’s been beautifully updated. The beds are super comfy with pristine linens and the all-important pillow menu. The AC was loud and couldn’t be regulated which I forgot to report (Rm 210, mgmt). Don’t worry—it was cold enough, lol! The attached restaurant, Laconda, I think, was excellent. Italian food which was delicious with possibly the freshest Caesar salad I’ve had. It was quite busy with only one server who did an amazing job, cheerfully. Holiday Inn hasn’t been a first choice for me, but I have a new perspective now.

Good overall room was a little dated.

Great place to stay for a couple of days. We were close to everything we wanted to do/see in the area - Newport, beaches, and the Block Island ferry. The pool was delightful and the entire hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The breakfast was definitely worth the upgrade. We would absolutely stay here again for a Newport trip!

Our stay was very comfortable. Our breakfast was excellent and the dining room staff was extremely pleasant. I believe it was Jen we spoke to in the dining room. She was clearly very proud of the place she works and the people she works with. She had nothing but praise for how hard the work and that shows. We are from Maine and will definitely choose Holiday Inn South Kingstown for our next visit. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Great stay near family and friends

Room was comfortable and clean. Bed very comfy and good AC. Hallways need some sprucing up.

The room carpet had a moist smell. The room had only towels for three people , we were four guest. Also we run out of body wash, those bottles should be refill all the time. The room was never clean the next day . We had to re use the towels . Not happy about it we pay a lot of money for two nights. Staff in the front were awesome !’ In that they have 5 stars z

Great place. Beautiful pool and my room was super close to it as well as the gym and the delicious buffet breakfast although I would love it if they offered a few healthier items. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I'd stay here again for certain!

The hotel staff were simply amazing and helpful. We had a lovely time.

Easy to get to, clean, updated, friendly service. Only difficulty was calling to confirm our reservation, their phone system was not direct and ran us in circles. But finally we were able to get to the front desk.

Front desk peeps were great.

It was clean and convenient for our visit to see family. I would like to see some updates to take place but stay was great.

Came to use the pool, wouldn’t have come and paid over $300 for a bed. This should have been communicated to me in advance. Expecting a partial refund.

I did not like the breakfast.

Property and room was clean, staff was very friendly and welcoming. Good place to stay for the price. But, does not include a breakfast as other hotels in the area do. Also was noisy .. heard everything from rooms all around me.

The people at the front desk were so courteous and knew their jobs so well that it made checking in and out a breeze! I felt very well cared for as a guest this weekend.

The room was nice size with all conveniences you would need . It was very clean, tidy and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows wonderful. Restaurant off lobby was handy especially for breakfast. I would definitely stay again!

Had a nice time.

Made reservation and paid via Expedia for one night to attend our daughter's senior event at URI. Checked in and room was sub-par (exposed conduit, wires pulling out from wall, old bedding). Toilet had zero flush pressure and would not even flush small amount of paper. Called front desk about toilet and was told, "it's just a slow-flush toilet; you'll need to hold the handle down.". That didn't work, so I went to the front desk as we were trying to get ready for an event. I was told at the front desk again that it was a 'slow-flush' toilet, to which I responded that it was a no-flush toilet. They then said that "that room is notorious for that." Incredulous at that, I then asked for another room, which I was given. New room had updated bedding, brighter lighting and a pressure-assisted toilet tank. Night and day difference. If that ground floor room is "notorious" for having outdated/malfunctioning plumbing, it immediately made me wonder if that's the default room for inexpensive/Expedia bookings. Staff resolved the issue, but almost begrudgingly at first, telling me to be patient with the toilet that wouldn't flush. Overall, convenient and quiet location and satisfactory for our one-night stay.

Accessibility, quiet.

Clean comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast area was clean and had good scrambled eggs and home fries. Close to the University of Rhode Island. Only 21 minutes to Newport.

Friendly staff. Hotel fine. Room fine. Construction around and someone was smoking pot either in room nearby or outside our window that we could smell while falling asleep. Restaurant/bar looked nice. Didn't go
