The building is magnificent and the rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable. Everything is top quality, including the staff.
This isn't the cheapest place to stay, but if you want somewhere special I think Kimpton is a great choice.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Free mulledcwine x and mince pies which was a nice touch. We had a room in the basement so there was no view, but the comfy beds and hot shower ( although tricky to work out) made up for it.

This was possibly the worst experience I have ever had! Arrived at 5pm after running 80km over the mountains to be told my room is not ready and could be another 90mins (3pm check in), noting I had also booked a suite!!!
The got told to go wait in the bar, which had no space to sit down apart from the sofa area I was told was not available for me! I got offered one drink to apologies for absolutely ruining my day!
Also the suite was rubbish, smallest and worst shower/bath. And even better god knows what happened in there the day before but the place smelt of bleach!

Stunning hotel and facilities would definitely stay here again. Rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated.
We ate in the garden room and food was delightful.

Very disappointed with our stay. Paid for a premium room and there was nothing premium about it - cold shower, average bed. There was also a Christmas party that took over the place with loads of drunken men in suits that were hard to avoid. Won’t be going back.

Great building and excellent service. Disappointed with the breakfast - ran out of croissants, butter, orange juice and white toast this morning and there was no black pudding!

Absolutely gorgeous building! I am a plant lover and to see so many real plants everywhere and trees gave the hotel a really warm atmosphere. The cleaniliness of the building is 10/10. All staff look happy and are friendly. Only things we would say was not the best was the mattress and the double bed was very small.
Food 8/10 we had room service for tea and breakfast in bed was absolutely lovely cant fault it.
I visted the in house florist shop aswell, absolutely lovely lady who tends to all the plants with her team in the hotel. Great prices bought a lovely bunch.
We had a little problem with our sink that was rectified within 10 minutes and the maitenance man was very pleasant.
Bar area great, prices ok typical manchester prices.
15 minute walk to the opera house and if visiting the palace theatre 5 minute. Great restaurants fast food and shops.
Parking in whitworth ncp really easy and 20 pound paid at the hotel for 24 hours.

My room was upgraded to a quieter room which was lovely but the room was accessible access and as an able bodied person i found it difficult to use. I asked to change rooms but was only offered my original noisy room. Had to have maintenance up for issues with but the hotel didnt seem to care. Disappointing for a hotel where we were sponsoring an event.

Very clean, beautiful hotel room. Very spacious, comfortable bed. Turn down service was unexpected but a nice touch. Nice extra touches - bath salts and snacks. Decor of the room and hotel was gorgeous throughout. Breakfast was well set out and delicious. We had a drink in the Refuge bar too, which is stunning and relaxing. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and polite especially Sharon at Reception- fantastic customer service. Can’t fault anything- absolutely fabulous hotel.

Our stay at the Clock Tower Hotel in July was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel warmly welcomed, with a seamless check-in process and personal touches that set the tone for a memorable visit. Traveling with my wife and a group of friends, we found the hotel's central location ideal, allowing us to explore the city's attractions with ease.
The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and offered a blend of modern comfort with the charm of the historic building. The views from our windows, especially the sight of the iconic clock tower, were breathtaking. Every detail, from the high-quality linens to the luxurious bathroom amenities, was thoughtfully curated to ensure a relaxing stay.
Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a highlight of our trip. The menu was diverse, and the dishes were expertly prepared, with local ingredients taking center stage. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar, where we spent our evenings sipping cocktails while taking in the stunning panoramic views of the city.
The hotel’s service stood out the most. Every request was met with a smile, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our group, whether it was arranging activities or providing local recommendations. The Clock Tower Hotel truly exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return. It was the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and local charm.

Absolutely loved our stay. Gorgeous grand building and rooms, but still warm, welcoming and fun. Lively bar with brilliant DJs playing soul, disco and jazz the weekend we stayed. Breakfast was delicious, although busy so service was slow, but not really a problem as such a lovely place to hang out. Kids enjoyed playing table tennis and pool.
The only small downside, for light sleepers, was the noise from Oxford Road.

Room 279 was very warm and unfortunately the air conditioning was very noisy which disturbed our sleep. Otherwise the rest of the hotel is beautiful, the bar was great and the breakfast was perfect.

Great building - great location .
Hotel restaurant told me to come back later (this was at 550pm) as it was full with theatre crowd- they suggested I walk a few blocks to find food. Fine for a small hotel but not for a hotel this size.

Great hotel in a great spot. Staff were really welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful hotel but paper-thin walls. The room was spacious and well laid out, but unfortunately we were positioned by the lift. As it was a Saturday night the constant sound of the lift opening, along with the sound of the room next door meant that we didn't sleep well at all. It was a shame as this is a hotel that we were really looking forward to staying in.
At 4am we had to knock on the room next door to explain that even though they weren't shouting, we cold hear everything through the walls. Earlier in the evening when we checked in it was evident that noise travels easily. We asked for another room, but due to it being a Saturday night there wasn't anything spare.

Excellent stay in an historic and impressive building. Delicious food and lively bar.

Unfortunately I only had one night at this lovely hotel but my stay was great. I did leave some items in the fridge and after a quick call was able to go and retrieve them later that day. The staff were all extremely welcoming and could not do enough to ensure I had a great stay, thank you.

It’s quite a noisy hotel, a/c didn’t work well.
Fire alarm we t off at 2am due to a fault in there office. It good and poor supervision.
The restaurant was incredibly noisy not recommended unless you’re young.
2.0
Don’t bother staying here if you want to sleep - incredibly noisy rooms, downstairs bar makes your room sound like a nightclub and staff refuse to turn it down
4.0
Great building, lots of original features. Table service for cocktails was really slow, but the drinks were great. Shame the main bar has such loud music, and doesn't seem to apply any form of dress or behaviour code otherwise it would likely be the best bar in Manchester.

Excellent - fully recommend!!
