Been here before and it was great. This time not so great. Upon opening the door to the room, there was a smell of some type of odor. Being the type of person that prefers to fix things, I opened the windows and aired it out. Fine. That night, the bed was VERY uncomfortable. Along with pillows that just...ummm...sucked.
My gf and I made it through the night. Also, the 2 beds in the room...NOT queen size. FULL size beds so be warned.
Also I wanted to spend the next day ENJOYING the area NOT fixing my issue. Bottom line, I left early that night instead of sleeping in an uncomfortable bed.

Rooms are very spacious and clean. Beautiful grounds. Pool areas are well maintained. Staff is friendly. Neighborhood is quiet. Love the option to go for walks along the marina or the bay.

We booked this hotel because it was near our Thanksgiving dinner location. Our room was adequate but very worn. Another group in our party had a suite which seemed in better condition.

The area is stunning but it was immediately very clear that this place is in desperate need of modernisation & renovation.
We had a suite overlooking the Bay which was nice but the furniture & decor was outdated & unpleasant.
I wouldn’t stay here again.

The room was nice and comfortable, beds were so comfy, wonderfully large TV, fantastic views. Staff were very friendly. Check in was nice and smooth because Adriana was so sweet and helpful. I had a problem with my back and she was incredibly kind and understanding.
A couple things they could fix:
Broken window blind slats
Gap under door let in a lot of noise from the hallway
No working ventilation in the bathroom
Low quality coffee and coffee maker
Smelly sink water

Second time there. Cool location right on the marina. Walking distance to a few really good restaurants. No homeless people.

The staff was super helpful and understanding and they tried their best to keep this old rotting establishment running.
The room I stayed in stank. The shower drain stank of the sewer every time I turned on the shower. The carpet in the room was in terrible condition and probably had mold in the corners. The bed was super uncomfortable and gave me neck and back pain. I usually don't leave reviews, but for the price I paid, this was a horrible experience.

We love this Best Western. It’s in a beautiful location and the service is always great. We went to the restaurant for dinner and the service was great! It’s a great spot to walk around shelter island.

Location is quite far from main attraction if u don't have a car otherwise Uber is available. Surrounding feels very safe and calm, good for relaxation or just to stay away from noise and crowds. Environment is very clean. The hotel itself looks a bit old but well kept and clean. Only met a couple of staffs but they seems friendly and acommodating. A lot of parking available outside and a nice view of the bay and San Diego.

Amazing rooms. Very large, very clean, quiet, amenities included and view was fablous. Our room faced the Marina and was a georgous relaxing view. Will definitely be staying again. Only draw back if you want to park on the property they charge $25 a night. We were able to park across the street and it was fine.

We loved walking the area around the hotel. Disappointed that checkin never mentioned room cleaning options or that we were charged for parking.

Although the room was clean, the carpet was damp and musty. It felt like it had been shampooed, but not allowed to properly dry.

Loved the staff! The property overall was very nice! My room was cramped. I think because there were 2 beds there wasn’t much room for much else. I had a hard time getting my clothes in the closet. I also had to iron some clothes and had to put the ironing board in the bathroom. If the room only had one bed it would have been really comfortable. But the staff really made the stay very welcoming!

Fabulous experience. This hotel nails the essentials: Cold AC in the room, strong shower head, comfy beds, quiet neighbors, strong toilet flush, huge big screen TV, excellent restaurant, friendly staff, beautiful surrounding area. I wish I was still there!

This was actually the best stay. The employees went above and beyond for us. They were full transparent when they didn’t have too. That to me is priceless. If you go please ask for Matt at the pool. He has amazing customer service. He won my kids over.

I’ve stayed here every year for the past 4 years now and I always love it. It gets better every time. The location is so convenient. Close to the airport without the noise. I love the pier nearby and how walkable this area is. Staff is amazing and the rooms are so clean. There are fire pits on the beach so you can get wood and have a beach fire. 10/10!

Amazing 2 night stay - wish we had stayed longer!!!
Our room was ground floor had an amazing view of the marina. We had drinks and food from the bar at happy hour and also had breakfast on-site.

Lovely location and hotel quite small and friendly. General areas well maintained well but didn’t like cleanliness inside room, even though we had the suite…. Dust on ceiling of rafters bit of a turn off and easily sorted really.

The hotel is actually really cute and the location is great. We enjoyed our stay but there were a few hiccups:
1. The toilet handle was broken on arrival.
2. The body wash in the shower was empty on arrival.
3. The shower head fell off and hit my son the second day.
4. The carpet was frayed
The staff were very warm and kind. The issues I listed seemed to be due to a lack of sufficient staffing rather than staff neglect. More of a management issue. Hopefully they are working on it.

Amazing! Breathtaking views of la playa and the city. Very nice area and all the staff were wonderful and very helpful. It was kind of a trek to get out of shelter island to use the city transportation but it was doable. I would definitely stay here again!

This place is amazing, the location, the pool and pool entertainment. The staff are fantastic. Great for families. You can see the fighter jets all day.
