The absolute worst possible way to end an otherwise amazing trip, as my wife and I got 4 pieces of jewelry stolen (including my wedding ring), worth more than $6K from our room by the hotel's cleaning staff. We know the culprit was effectively from the hotel staff because we found out the jewelry was missing while packing that night and decided to spend our last night there reporting the crime to the Spanish Police. Once back home, we were contacted by the Spanish Police to inform us that they had caught the employee as he still had one of the pieces in his possession. To make matters worst, we expected more from the hotel management, to at least offer some sort of relief for our grievances, but it has now been about 4 months and they never even had the decency to reach out to apologize for their employee's actions. They knew we were leaving the next day and were probably hoping we did not find out in time to report the crime to the authorities, so how do we know if the employee that got caught acted alone? We will never know, but we hope you don't choose to find out. Stay here at your own risk.

The hotel is showing its age. Everything just looks worn out.
Also the acoustics is not ideal. We could hear the alarm clock of the room next to us, and so did we hear their couple “quality time”.
The lobby smell and scent is just awful and overwhelming.
It didn’t feel like a five star hotel, for the price we paid.
On the plus side, the AC worked really well, hot water was always available, The cleaning services were perfect, and the location is unmatched. Too bad it didn’t feel
Like a luxury experience. Only book this hotel for less than 200 euro a night, it doesn’t worth more than that.

Excellent! This hotel was the first stop on our Spain vacation and it was lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped with nice amenities. I loved the little coffee and mini bar. The restaurant and breakfast were excellent. The rooftop bar has beautiful views and was so fun. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

It was in a great location and generally good. The roof bar was there but very touristy and lacking in atmosphere. The main restaurant had only cold meal options when I arrived at 21.00 on a Friday. Not bad, but there are better options.

Very good service across the board. Slight hiccup being let into the wrong room to start with. Once we returned from lunch we could not get back into the room, I then noticed we had been let into the wrong room to start with, not the suite we had booked. This was swiftly rectified once I went down to reception and informed them of their mistake.
The sky bar was extemely expensive for such basic drinks. Madrid is full of incredible locations at a fraction of the price being charged for drinks. The location is very good, right next to the busiest parts of Madrid. Its located down a small side street, allowing for a quieter entry.

The location of this Hotel is excellent, waking distance to many areas. Service at front desk, concierge and bell desk is great, special mention to Lidia, Javier and Daniel. But I was very disappointed with the comfort and functionality of the room, we booked a jr suite, the sq footage is ok but the size of the bathroom is ridiculous specially the toilet and shower, the way the sink is positioned is very uncomfortable as well. The Jr suite has a seating area which is nice but it is very dark at night, same as the main room, this is be my main complaint, the room is very dark, just bedside table lights and an LED reading lamp. The hallways are VERY dark as well. To me the scent in the elevators and lobby is very strong, ‘patchouli’ most of the time and it can be a bit disturbing if you spend time in the lobby and elevators. Breakfast is basic and can be improved. Overall a good stay but I will consider other options on my next visit because of the darkness of the hallways and room.

We stayed overnight and enjoyed the delicious breakfast. Our room was small but comfortable. The rooftop lounge was just ok. It could use an update. The secret cocktail bar under the hotel looked fun but starts late. The bellhop was outstanding. He rook his time and went beyond answering all our questions. 5 stars for him.

The Hotel was great. Very close to the city center in Madrid. You can walk anywhere. Veronica was super helpful. She showed us everything we need to do while in town. She was very knowledgable.

My experience at the hotel was excellent. The whole staff was extremely helpful and accommodating at all times, special shout-out to Diego and Daniel V.
We had a room on the third floor and while at night the music from the rooftop bar could be heard in the hallways, once we got to our room we could not hear anything. Noise was not an issue at all for us.
It's also great that the room had blackout curtains and A/C that we could control to our liking. While the room was a bit small, it was perfect for two people not looking to spend a lot of time there anyway.
Lastly, the location of the hotel is unbeatable. It's walking distance to Retiro Park and all the main museums, but also to the Salamanca and Chueca neighborhoods were some of the best restaurants are.
Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay again at our next visit to Madrid without hesitation.

Excellent hotel, great location, very accommodating staff. Only point of potential improvement is that the hotel's rooftop bar is not only available to paying guests but also outsiders. As such, it turned out to be too busy to enjoy.
