They upgraded me to an executive suite because they didn’t have the room that I reserved. That was great- that said, the room had a double door entrance and you could see between the doors. As a single female, that did not feel safe. The couch felt dirty, there was a contact lens stuck to floor of the bathroom, the rug was stained in multiple locations and there was a weird stain on the sheets of the bed. The closet door handle had been destroyed at some point and they fixed it with a piece of particle board spray painted white. I also felt really bad for the bartender. He was AMAZING- poor guy had the whole bar (seats 50+?) to himself that night. He kept his cool the entire time. Whomever he is, he deserves a raise. This hotel has run its course. It’s clear the company doesn’t care about this particular location.

I reserved room with 2 queen beds, upon arrival I was told they only had room with 1 bed. When I got to room it was a full size bed not even a king. I had to go back to front desk and he stated that’s all they had left. Then he took a phone call and started helping another customer. Another receptionist asked if he could help me and I told him the problem and he did offer me a king room even though that is not what I reserved. He said they must have given those out during day shift.

Run down. For the price you would think they would upkeep this hotel better. The room was falling apart. Chipped ceiling, damaged tub, broken bathroom lock, dirt in corners. The upper balcony had broken tiles that were uncomfortable to walk on. It was in an overall rough state. I'm tired of hotels asking premium prices, but not putting that money into maintaining their hotel.

Overall a good stay at the Crowne Plaza Springfield, IL. Cool old hotel and conference center. Double queen room was clean, remodeled, comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly. Breakfast staff were friendly, for the most part, but pressured us to eat fast & closed buffet prior to end time. Pictures showed a hot tub. The hot tub was permanently covered and unavailable for use. Unsure why.

We allegedly had an accessible suite. No grab bars by either toilet and one toilet was the low one that a person with disabilities could not stand up from without a grab bar. The other one was taller and there was a sink near it. Needs a grab bar!!! Staff in lounge were delightful and other staff was very helpful. Dated decor and needs some work.

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable, enjoyed our stay. Was disappointed that there was no furniture to sit in on the roof top patio.

We did not like the fact that there were not enough Keurig cups, nor was there adequate creamer and sugar for coffee in the morning. The refrigerator was not plugged in when we arrived. There was a water issue near the refrigerator which was solved efficiently.

I enjoyed my stay here. I know some say it’s run down but I if you aren’t expecting the Ritz Carlton in Springfield, you’ll be happy with it. The restaurant/bar was nice and convenient and rooms were comfy and clean. Only negative that I found were the lack of TV channels but other than that I would recommend it and stay here again if I go back for the State Fair! Our favorite place we’ve stayed in Springfield!

This property was a great price and it was convenient. My family and I were on a family vacation and rented 8 rooms. The y were helpful, clean, and have great recommendation on attractions.

Bath tub was extremely slippery and there were no anti slip strips in place or shower mat. Only one headboard reading lamp. No glasses or cups in the room. No option to make coffee. Basically no in room amenities. Room #706

The hotel is very nice. The room was big and bed was comfortable. I have only one negative thing to say. I picked this hotel because there was a hot tub by the pool...according to the pictures of the hotel on the website. But when we got to the pool..the hot tub was concreted with yellow tape around it. Wish i would of known this prior to reserving the room.

Everything was great. Our view however was horrible, we just looked out onto a roof, that wasn't a big issue since we didn't go there for the view. The hotel website states that there is a hot tub. Well there is no longer a hot tub at this location, and that was one of the main reasons for is going back there. We will be looking for other accommodations the next time we come to Springfield.

The staff at reservation desk wasn’t the friendliest if you use Expedia to book. My cousin checked in with me but we booked differently and the check-in and out staff were both indifferent both times. Book directly with the hotel if staying here. Also my room was not the cleanest. The shower curtain needed to be changed and bleached for sure and there were weird stains on the wall (I don’t even want to think what it could have been). But yeah other than that it was an okay place to be.

Quick stay…it was under what seem to be some renovations. Staff was great. Room was dingy and the shower was not cleaned fully (hair on bottles). But worked for a one night I guess….

Before I retired, I stayed at this property often and it was always enjoyable. However, since then, the condition of this property has drastically deteriorated. The carpet is becoming threadbare, the elevators are badly beaten up, the toilet seat in our room was in bad shape (looked as if it had been dragged behind a car, and windows in our 9th floor room were so dirty you could barely see out of them. This place needs tlc quickly.

The 2 main things i was looking for in a hotel room was a hot tub. And an extra rollaway bed. They were both listed as available. That was a lie. The hot tub had just been filled w cement. And there were no extra beds. The air conditioningwas a joke. My room was set at 64 and gor up to 74 before we checked out. Wont stay there again.
