Large Spotlessly clean room with super friendly reception staff.. we loved staying at this hotel for the weekend to visit our daughter nearby

Conveniently located and pretty standard Holiday Inn fare.
However, there were cleanliness issues with the bathroom and bedding - though i didnt bring these to the attention of the staff as we weren't there all that long.
Service in the adjoining Bella Italia was really poor though.
Emma at check in was a star though. Give her all the pay rises.

Another great stay at Wigston Holiday Inn. We were greeted by Karan who is a very pleasant front of the house staff. Very kindly upgraded us to an executive room. We stay here a lot when we visit our son who is at University here. it’s convenient, has free parking which is a great bonus in Leicester!!
The only downside this time was that there was a 30th birthday party on-site which had loud music late into the night which was a bit disturbing for going to sleep…

Great service & very comfortable stay. The room is spacious and bright for our family trip. There are complimentary drink & fruits for us as special selected guest of the day. We are very happy for the hospitality and flexibility of late checkout per request. We will definitely stay here again in our next visit and recommend our friends.

Basic amenities were fine shower was updated. But the room was dirty found an empty snickers wrapper on the floor and dust on the tables. No shampoo in the bathroom (bottle was empty). Water on the bathroom floor when we arrived

This review is very special to me, I have left a good reviews for holiday Inn wigston before as I stay there alot due to proximity and condition.
This time around it was my civil wedding on the 31st May and Karan (I hope I got his name right) noticed, because I had my dress in a hanger, this lovely man sent us a champagne, gave us a room upgrade and breakfast for my whole family. We were so happy, it literally made our day even more special, the kids insisted it was a 5star hotel.
Like I said I probably have been to this hotel up to 6 times this year, that is how often we go there. This review is not about the freebies we got but about the consistency of the lovely staff Ana Marie, Karan even the chef, from front desk to restaurant. Their services, politeness, cleanliness everything. Thank you and you will see us again

The room was not cleaned, advised receptionist and requested they were sure to clean it the following day as I left for the day. Again they did not clean it.

Hotel is basic. Friendly staff. Funny smell in main lobby connecting to restaurant. Needs some fresh air into that whole space I think. It served a purpose for one night stay but that’s it. It was clean but our room had a problem with water draining down the sink (v slow running) which isn’t that nice. Staff were helpful and friendly though. Dessert menu sampled but not that nice with very watery ice cream and super sweet cheesecake. Main course was nice enough. So, an okay place to stay for a one night stay but no for much longer.
