The Lace Market hotel is fabulously located in the historic lace market area of the city and is a good place to stay. Have stayed there multiple times. This time the room was very small and very warm.
2.0
Room 2 was far too cold. A large room with not enough heating and the bathroom was even colder
2.5
Great location for visiting local sites of interest and to the Motorpoint Arena for concerts. Staff very courteous and helpful. Check-In was very quick and the room was well set out.
2.0
Attractive historic building, friendly reception, comfortable bed with unusually good pillows. My room was on the ground floor near the stairs into the pub which was noisy at night until about midnight. The bed was cosy with a Welsh blanket and cushions but room decor otherwise a little stark.

Staff lovely.
Hotel at bit tired.

The hotel looks fantastic on photos but disappoints on arrival. It feels very dated, the lift is temperamental at best, the hotel smells a little (mainly of it being old) and the rooms were really not what I expected. The tap in my room was leaking all night, the iron left dirt marks on my shirt. The main thing is that based on the photos I was expecting a well kept room but was greeted with room which felt old, not looked after and generally not what I expect from a 4 star hotel.
That said, there were some positives. Reception staff was lovely and the bed was comfortable.

Beautifully presented, spacious room with comfy bed, great wifi and a restaurant attached that delivers pizza! I was on the ground floor, and I'm used to peace and quiet, so I was occasionally disturbed by people walking by and talking noisily, so might be worth asking for a room on a higher floor if this is likely to disturb you.

Stayed here for our wedding night. Requested a champagne bucket with ice and glasses to be delivered to our room however never arrived.

Great hotel. Comfortable room. The only issue was no WiFi connection given where the room was positioned in the hotel. Staff tried to help but it wouldn’t work.
1.5
we spent two nights in room 1 and found it incredibly noisy. It only has single glazed windows despite being about three feet from a cobbled road. It is also directly across from reception and conversations could be heard at all times. Two nights with poor sleep didn’t make for a good experience.

From our initial reception from Lalita, through to our checkout, a beautiful experience. Certainly, the experience was made even better to be upgraded to the most beautiful suite! The facilities were top notch

Nice centrally located hotel staff super helpful and friendly
well worth the money

Great hotel. But if I have an 11 o’clock checkout, I’d rather your rather “chatty” housekeeping staff would turn it down a bit from 9 o’clock.
It’s a weekend and some of us need our beauty sleep more than others 😀😀

Good sized room with a large bathroom and roll top bath.

Started off by getting charged £15 because we were 50 minutes early for check in, despite room being ready. Got to the room and it felt like a sauna. I understand air conditioning is not as prevalent in the UK as in other places but this is a hotel and most hotels have air conditioning. Fortunately there was a shift change and the new receptionist tried to fix it, to no avail. I had to go down and request another room which fortunately they were able to manage. I was very appreciative of this and it made the stay much more manageable. Bed was ok and pillows were hard as a rock…ended up bundling up tshirts to sleep on. Other than that the stay was ok. I think next time I’ll go to a bigger chain of hotels.

Great location in the city centre. Room was like a sauna though.
Check in staff were great and helpful.
Charged a late fee for checking out (40 minutes late). Would have appreciated a call to the room if it was enough of an issue to charge for. Receptionist said they tried to call - not really sure what that means. Wouldn’t go back again purely based on a £15 over charge. Good way to start loosing business quickly.

Nice hotel in a good location in Nottingham city centre.
The room was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Also quiet despite an excellent city centre location.
Slightly disappointed to be charged £15 for an early check-in despite only being half an hour early and being told the room was ready.
And the bathroom door handle fell off. The latter just a minor thing. Overall would recommend.

Another relaxing night in the best hotel In Nottingham

Great room, very comfortable but absolutely no network connection on my phone and no air conditioning so it was extremely warm. There was however a fan provided. Overall a lovely stay.
3.0
The staff from the reception desk to the restaurant in the morning were lovely and very helpful. The fact that the air con unit in the room was probably 30 year old and kept cutting out after 20 seconds was disappointing as it manat very uncomfortable, hot and sticky ‘sleep’. The fact that I wasn’t offered any kind of compensation for this was very disappointing.

We arrived at about 1.30 pm.
Our room was ready and we asked if we could check in as we had to change for a Graduation ceremony at 3.00. We were told that we could but there would be a fee of £15 to do this even though the room wasn’t being cleaned early at our request. Never encountered this before in a hotel and this wasn’t made clear on booking.
We were told that we could change in the toilets if we didn’t want to pay. The toilets were small and cramped. The floor was wet and the hand dryer didn’t work. Altogether very unpleasant.
The dog charge for the room is £25 per night. This is steep. Of course I expect to pay a dog supplement but this is usually £10 or £15 a night.
I felt that the hotel was trying to increase its room rate margins by stealth in the “extras” - when I complained about the cynical £15 early check in charge I was told that this was a new policy.
The room was OK except one curtain blind was permanently shut - no method of opening it- and the window behind it was broken.
When we returned to our room late in the evening I looked for details of the WiFi code. It wasn’t on the Guest Information card and so I went to phone Reception to ask. There was no phone in the room. I telephoned reception using an outside line. I was told that telephones had recently been removed from all rooms. I explained that the Guest Info card in several places instructed guests to phone Reception for information and he said “Oh I thought those had been removed”
Underwhelming

Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Booked the double room with patio, spacious room and nice to have the patio outside to sit in the evening

Turned out o be a posh yet unpretentious hotel catering for its clients to the most minute detail. We were chuffed re-visiting in style our Uni city after 30 years, and the Lace Market Hotel (and the city itself) brought us a full-platter of exquisite Englishness (if that concept exists anymore).
2.5
It’s in a great location near delicious restaurants and vibrant bars. Even though it close to late night attractions it’s very quiet and comfortable. We’ll come back to visit again!
4.0
A centrally located hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean with a comfortable bed but a bit on the small side. Large, noisy air conditioning unit made it a bit hard to sleep. Carpet on the floor in the room and hallways could do with a refurbishment. Overall decent accommodation
1.5
We stayed in a luxury studio suite for 1 night at a rate of £210 without breakfast included. Staff were friendly and advised that there were limited Gluten Free options for breakfast so decided to look elsewhere.
The hotel itself is nice, with maybe decor updates require in places.
On initial entrance to the room it looked nice, a decent size with a nice position for the bed. A gift of prosecco was left for us in the mini bar which was a nice touch.
However, the airconditioning was quite poor and very loud in the room. So loud that it disturbed our sleep so had to turn it off - which then meant that we woke with the room being too hot and had to turn the aircon on again.
Room was located quite close to the lift and so heard when it was in use in the morning, along with people in the corridors.
Whilst there, building works were taking place directly opposite our room and so we were woken by scaffolding early on a Saturday morning which we didnt want when we had a morning without kids.
Room seemed a little run down in places and elements need a little attention to detail. (I.e glass window was broken, TV was abit small, aircon needs to be better,
In comparison to other 'suites' we have stayed in, it was ok... i would probably save my money in the future as i dont think it hit the price-tag it was valued at for a single night without breakfast. I wouldnt say it was 3x better than Premier Inn (which was £69 for the night).
2.0
Economy room was nicely decorated. Only negative was that one side of the bed was next to the wall which made getting in and out a problem.
I was not happy to be asked for a £40 deposit incase of damage to the room. Then on check out being told it would take upto 3 days to be refunded.
I would only return to this hotel because of the location. convenient for the City and our daughters flat.

I booked the budget double. It was pretty spacious. Very comfortable bed. Great shower. It was very quiet. The area that the hotel is in is fantastic. The Contemporary art gallery is just down the hill. Its close to restaurants and bars. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel close to the city centre but without the noise.

Well licated

Lovely hotel. Modern. lovely decor. Staff friendly.
Fantastic shower and water pressure. Bed was comfy. Room was spacious. Exceeded expectations. Great location .Close to bars and restaurants. Tram is handy too. Excellent hotel. Would highly recommend. Lovely tea and coffee making facilities. Only feedback would be that there is no free parking and the suggested car park at Lace Market was £34 for 2 nights. Perhaps a deal can be cut with the car park for a discount for hotel guests.

Great they had a vegan breakfast.
Deluxe King room was really nice, tucked away so quiet. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed in room 7 which boasts an exclusive patio. It is a lovely space and really enjoyed it. The room is quite standard. No coffee maker, but a kettle and a selection of tea and coffee bags.
The room is on the ground floor and there was quite so noise from the room above as they moved about. The corridor to the room is up and down a few stairs and smells quite damp.
But overall I slept well and the noise did not persist.
The room had no wifi connection, I reported this to reception and was given the conference wifi password which was equally poor.
And just to note the room has no aircon, not a problem in a very cool June!

Great room in a very pleasant hotel. Situated close to the hubbub of a busy city, the hotel was quiet and peaceful

The room, while a bit small, was really quiet and managed a very good sleep

Great little boutique hotel in central Nottingham. Went for our anniversary and hotel provided a free upgrade to celebrate.
Have made the hotel nice and updated for an old building and has a cute little pub attached to it :)
