The hotel was functional but the room was too hot at night, hence slept poorly

Pretty good overall but a couple of issues: 1) Repeated problems with rooom key card not working and having to be reissued or reprogrammed. 2) Room was far to hot to sleep in and there were only duvets, no sheets

This place is a gong show. The general manager is a hot mess. The food is mediocre at best and the service was horrible. You check in at the bar so there was a couple people (max 3) in front of us. The que continued to grow and so did our wait time. We eventually got served after serving all the bar orders that came up after us (the only reason we were checked in 1/2 an hour later was because the next guy at the bar told The General Manager to check us in) The General manager was doing both check in and putting in orders. He was disorganized and didn't seem to know how to use the system. The staff was also getting upset with him because he wasn't able to manage the work/orders. We get to our "air conditioned" room which has a little AC above the door, that doesn't blow cold air past the bathroom. The bathroom feels like you're on a plane and smells like sewage. The menu had a good selection but is quite pricy for the quality that you get.

Convenient location but a bit noisey if your room is facing the road. There was a mix up with room allocations, with me getting access to a room that was already in use by another customer, whilst staff were quick to resolve the matter it wasnt great to know that someone could have been in the room when i enteted. It could have been awkward. Id have been even more annoyed if i was the one in the room when someone entered! That said room was clean. Limited parking on site.

Very decent budget hotel, highlights being it's cleaniness and functionality and well placed for the city centre - within walking distance for most. I would stay here again for these reasons, other similar competitors were more expensive. Only downside for me was that the cooked breakfast was not that appetising, overcooked and also not hot but buffet breakfasts left sitting out can often be like that. So some competitors would score higher here but otherwise this Ibis was a pleasurable experience.

We were at the hotel for Download festival wrekend and had a great stay. On our last day of the festival, the car wouldnt start and we had to try a variety of different things. We went to ask the staff for any assistance and the manager was very kind, helpful, patient and understanding. One of the other staff that was particularly knowledgable about cars even came down to help and checked the battery. In the end we got the car working but missed the last of the festival, and were advised to make the kong trip home. Upon this knowledge the manager (Amit Chondehoke, I believe) kindly gave us a small food package for our journey home. It was a lovely experience overall, maybe not so much the car, but the stay at the hotel and the help offered by all the staff was definitely appreciated by us. I'll be back again a third time for sure!

The location of the hotel is not the best and is next to the ring road which is very busy. During the night the room got hot as the air con doesn’t operate due to set outside temperatures so I had to open the window. However I was regularly awoken by noisy vehicles sirens and people shouting. Also the location did not feel safe especially during the evening.

On arrival, my Sat Nav was unable to direct me to the entrance of the hotel. I have never been to Leicester before, so I called the reception for a few suggestions how to get into the car park. The receptionist, went above and beyond. She stayed with me on the phone (hands free kit) and guided me to the car park, and was so helpful and reassuring. Once I finally arrived, my son and I was greeted by the lovely friendly receptionist, who had guided me there, and another gentleman worker. Both staff were truly outstanding to your Ibis reputation. They both where friendly and helpful, they offered me a map so I could find my way around Leicester, and especially more so to visit the Space Centre, which was my intended reason for staying at the establishment. The gentleman worker, prompted the Ibis offer of signing up to the All Occur, which enable me to have a free drink. Which was a bonus after a long journey from my home town. The room was well ventilated, clean and fresh towels to use. My son and I woke up to enjoy the lovely breakfast included in my stay, which set us up for our busy day. So all in all I would highly rate this hotel, and would definitely return, when we visit the Space centre again. :)

Hardly got any sleep people kept letting there doors slam even at 4.30 am. The doors where fire doors and heavy and made alot of noise. They should really have signage asking people not to let there doors slam after a certain time at night. no sleep !!!!!

Pretty on par with Ramada, but the position is a bit out of the way and the bed could be comfier. But overall a good experience - clean, large room, etc.

I was shown to room 401. It was awful, door hangin off the bathroom, holes in the carpet, paint missing on walls, walls dirty, room smelt of damp, no curtains. It resembled what I imagine a prison cell might look like. This was after 10 minutes was spent trying to find me a room. I was offered another room, a twin and it was a bit better but I will never stay here again. The fact it was top end of my ususal travel budget is disgusting. I stay away every single week and this hotel wasn't even worth £50 in my opionion. I do have to say the guy on reception was very nice, i think hisname was Ib.

Fantastic hotel with customer friendly staff. Have stayed at this hotel twice and once again i would return. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are helpful. Room was clean and tidy.

Great staff. Hotel key down by how noisy the rooms are. No escape from traffic noise with windows shut, then a very loud whistle when they are closed & there's wind.

It was noisy. I couldn’t get the tv to work. Couldn’t work the lift with room key so ended up using the stairs. Had to wait at least five minutes for a member of staff to help with a query

Amazing stay.

Quick check in and check out. Nice room with all amenities to a good standard and very clean. Friendly staff. Only one lift so had to wait a while when it’s busy. Breakfast is very pricey so didn’t try it

Hotel rather ran down, rooms were terrible, lift didn’t always work. Staff were rude

Booked a disabled twin room however initially they gave me a double but that was quickly rectifying. Friendly check in and a comfortable room, well located for the centre (10-15 mins walk). Decent breakfast and a nice overall stay.

Parking was a bit of a challenge but hotel was really helpful. Room was great. Can’t fault it

Ive stayed at this hotel before and i would stay again. Great location, lovely comfortable room. Helpful staff.

Great location for city centre. Also helpful there was parking on site. Staff were really friendly. Room was perfect for an overnight work trip.

On arrival the glass panel at the front of the hotel was smashed which didn't create the best of confidence in the hotel. On entering the room it was dirty, carpet had not been cleaned the bed was badly made and the bathroom was a mess. There was urine on the toilet seat. Completely unacceptable and would avoid. On informing the hotel we were offered a complementary coffee for our troubles.
