Love the live band

We have stayed at Sands Harbor Hotel for years due to its convenient marina, but our recent experience was disappointing. The hotel has undergone changes that aim to make it fancier, but it falls short. We booked a “Premier King Room” and it was not worth the extra charge. During our stay, we were woken up in the middle of the night by a party in the room next door, and the broken blinds allowed excessive light in. We were wrongly accused of smoking in our room, resulting in a $250 charge and being placed on a “no stay” list, despite not smoking there. Additionally, we paid over $500 for 2 nights for what felt like a 2-star hotel experience, with parking fees of $25 per night and my family paid marina charges exceeding $900 for a week. The hotel’s amenities, including uncomfortable beds and overpriced drinks, do not justify their high rates. The new ownership needs to reassess their pricing and standards. We will not be returning and will be disputing the smoking charge.

When checking in, I was surprised with a $25 charge per night for parking and an additional $50 incidental as well as another few charges deposit. I just wasn't prepared for with all of that aside. And I do understand the hotel needs to state in the print that they are a non-smoking. As in even the air outside, they claim is theirs. And if you smoke outside and they catch you. It's a $250 charge automatically to your room. So while staying there, you have this looming Uber your head, the whole time and the attitude of staff and everybody around, it was very meh. Not welcoming. We'll definitely never go back there. Ever read the fine print and remember.You can dress up a t***, but you can't polish it.

We had a premier waterfront room, views were superb, room was very clean with a comfortable bed, staff were so friendly and helpful, but we did not have hot water so we had cold showers, you have to pay for valet parking $25 per night but the car is parked in an open car park right along side the hotel, it would be easy to park the car yourself, don’t understand the need for it to be valet parking only. But would definitely recommend this hotel, just be aware of the add ons

I like that we can walk to places to eat and to the beach. Happy hour at the bar was great

The hotel was undergoing some improvements. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was short on amenities (coffee, tissues).

The view is spectacular.

The Room was nit clean upon arrival. The TV didnt work had to wait almost 3 hours before someone showed up and they were still unable to fix it. There were little bugs everywhere in the room, we had to get it sprayed then were told to try and stay away from the chemical for at least 3 hrs. Hotel ran out of bottle water (which was for purchace). Not worth the price for this place at all. This was more like a Motel priced like a Hotel

Beautiful property … best money you can spend in Broward County … Harbor views and you can walk to the beach. This is the pride of Pompano!!!!

Great stay

Hotel room unpleasant, balcony door was old and rotted, very hard to openthe balcony was full of water from ac. The view was of the roof. Nocoffee machine or garbage can in the room. Very limited tooletries, one tiny bar of soap. Very small TV SCREEN.on a positive notes the pillows were great

Beautiful room, but there was a chipping hammer going loudly right outside our rooms as early as 7 in the morning, on top of that there were a bunch of fees and charges added on at the end, we ended up paying what we did for the room in fees and valet, will never come back here. Staff was nice but place is a rip off

Getting nicer looking. Still the price of rooms is very high for the quality of room you get. Should get a nicer view when management remembers you from past visits. Bring back the free bar drink upon checking in. Cut the cost of valet parking.

Stayed one night for a graduation dinner and the place met all our needs.

Wish rooms had microwaves but can’t beat views

Check in was great. Rooms are decent. Employees were all very pleasant. Small pool but still nice. The bartenders were great. Breakfast was a plus! I used parking lot across the street.

The bathtub needs to be replaced sink area needs to be redone

My second time staying at this resort. Very good atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and good energy. It’s a big plus that it is within walking distance to the beach.

Special old Florida property and it shows. Unique location with a few little infrastructure kinks that may/may not add flavor. Food is excellent at very point (grill and formal restaurant) as they have a French chef and it shows. Location and price make this a true value. Now all they need are microwaves in every room.

Older property with premium location right on water. Excellent food surprisingly and no better place for a sunset drink by the pool.

Booked a room for a night for work and upon arrival I was denied my room because my name wasn’t on my companies card. No refund and no room for the night. Horrible service and nothing was done to fix the issue. Every other hotel I’ve even been to has not given me this problem.

Always relaxing. Husband and I live 15 minutes away. One of our favorite staycations. Love sitting on the balcony and watching the boats go by. Food seemed better than the last few times. Laying by the pool was wonderful our last day there. Everybody that worked there was awesome. We always come back.

The property makes you feel as if you’re in key west . It’s very pretty if you need a fast escape .

Unfortunately when we got to our room we found a ton of bugs on the walls, on the ceiling, and staining on the sheets so we have to assume that this room was infested with bed bugs. Brian at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly, he assisted with getting us a full refund at midnight and we ultimately decided to leave and go to another hotel. When we arrived everything looked clean and great, this could happen anywhere but it was definitely an issue in this room. Can't say if it's an issue in every one of their rooms.
