Fairly good location that is walkable to city center and sites. Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Sir conditioning did not work properly. Safe box was complicated, and needed help. Breakfast was good, and reasonably priced.

When checking in I was asked to show a receipt for payment I had made for stay at Lasserhof Salzburg. I opened the Expedia App but this app does not provide a well stated receipt. When I tried to open "View Receipt" on the app it would not open. When I opened the "Payment and Details" tab this stated what had been paid, but if did not state my name and did not state the hotel's name. Expedia needs to improve its app. It is not good enough to have to comb through different screens to try to piece together this sort of information. A receipt should be one document that states the name of the Payor, name of Payee, what is was for, now much was paid and date of payment. As it was I had to take 3 screen shots and collate these together in an email to Lassehof to provide this information. Expedia needs to sort itself out and stop wasting people's time.

Hotel and room was good for the price. Location was excellent. Staff were friendly.

Great location for us. Walkable to main train station (8 min), walkable to food and shopping (5-10 min), old town (15 min). All our tours started within 10 min walk. Clean room, friendly staff, rooms were small, but great for the price. I would recommend.

Fine for what we expected. Close to railway station and Mirabell Palace.

The hotel had given our room away so they put us up at another one half a mile away.

Room was not all that great and unclean. Breakfast was terrible with flies on the food though the person managing was fast and quick. Everything was close by including station and points of interest. Will think twice to recommend.

Only stayed one night but it was perfect! Walkable to Mirabell - and We found an wonderful seafood Italian restaurant nearby "Istra" which I would highly recommend

Beautiful hotel, locdtion was great for the train station. And only 10 minutes from the centre.

We had some issues with the reservations (thanks to Expedia)…but the staff at the Lasserhof were very accommodating and went out of their way to make things right! The hotel is a bit dated in ways, but I love the “mom and pop” feel and personal attention of the staff.

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. Once stepped into the hotel, it’s smelly. The worst part was our room with mouldy and dust, heater and hair dryer with dust and green n blue mold. Bathroom ceiling and wall were mouldy too. We asked if there was any room for the second nite to change, of course the answer was NO.

A 3-star hotel if there ever was one. The good: location very close to Old Town, hotel staff are very helpful and breakfast is satisfying. The bad: room floor was very dirty and your socks would be black after an hour and heating did not work well

The hotel we stayed at had us use a parking garage that was closed from 6pm Saturday until Monday morning we almost got our car stuck in the garage.

The hotel was a short walk away from the train station but this means a bit more of a walk to the old town (easily doable though, even with children). The breakfast was good and filled us up for the day ahead. The rooms were ok, however looked a bit tired and dated. Ours didn’t have a kettle, which was surprising, and there was no ventilation in the bathroom, which meant mould spots were inevitably visible. For a couple of nights it was fine but I doubt I’d stay again.

Stayed three nights. Chose for convenient location close to old town and parking, given difficulty to find more central hotels with parking. Whereas we parked in the multi-storey car park across the road the first night (hotel does reduced price tickets = €16, we were able to park the following two nights for free outside the hotel, as it was the weekend (free from 7pm Friday). Front desk welcoming and helpful. Big rooms with high ceilings and balcony. However, pillows were essentially non existent, and the beds were uncomfortable, meaning we found it very difficult to sleep. Note that you need to insert your door key into the air conditioning unit for it to work. Breakfast was ok but the buffet could have done with replenishing more regularly. Be there early if you want a croissant. As we were driving, we managed to see all the non central sound of music locations without doing the four hour+ tour, although best do some research in advance regarding how best to approach each, as not always obvious, plus we were able to take our time at each, including those in the old town.
