Our overall stay was lovely, we were celebrating our anniversary. We had a nice stay, the only thing that slightly marred our stay were the special offers advertised in the room, for the same price we had paid for room only, they were offering dinner and breakfast inclusive which was a little disappointing

Hotel was fanastically clean it the best hotel ive stayed at in blackpool downside is its £20 a day to park your car in the hotels carpark but they did offer us to park over the road where its free staff were also friendly and happy to help

Lovely stay once again, love the friendly helpful staff. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was very good.

Lovely hotel, but run down, iron didn’t work, no fridge in the room, shower wouldn’t turn off, maintenance said keep turning until it turns off, my misses struggled to turn it off I did it all the time. Would not return here

Lovely clean hotel friendly staff. Breakfast was disappointing. Bacon and sausages were not good scrambled egg like warm. Nice to be able to order poached eggs and porridge also if you wanted gluten free abd vegan. Tables in the evening need clearing quicker.

A few nights stay with the family, and can not fault the family room for space. However, a few little issues: Breakfast - £27 per adult per day and a very small offering. Not worth the money Parking - £20 a night unless you book direct and still £10 a night for space they already own. Saturday Night - Late night rides until 9:30pm are room had a very towards the park which my 2 duaghters under 3 enjoyed, but not the noise when trying to get them to sleep. Would of been nice when checking in to be informed of this. Bar - The bar area is way to small for the venue and the amount ot people staying.

Me & my wife took are grandson to the fun park . Stayed in the big blue great location And good for parking. Hotel is now over 20 years old and does need a bit TLC .

Cleanliness was always a priority with fresh towels everyday and plenty hot drinks to choose from in the room. Definitely recomme staying there.

Well-maintained hotel, ideal not just for amusements, for venturing up and down the coast. Very comfortable bedroom with good quality furniture, including a desk and chair and 2 comfortable chairs. A bath and shower. Very good selection for breakfast.

Everything was perfect Needs to be a lower mirror by the hairdryer for short people

Phoned reception for both rooms not to have housekeeping during stay, only to be knocked on both bedrooms each morning for housekeeping and then letting themselves in while still sleeping.

Very polite staff made you feel welcome

Great hotel right next to the pleasure beach. We got a free upgrade to a superior double room. The bar prices are are the going rate not the usual hyped up cost. We will definitely be staying again.

We had a lovely stay here. Everything went really well. The staff were lovely, the hotel was beautiful, the food was really good and the parking was easily accessible.

Lovely hotel, staff are really friendly and helpful. Location is great for the pleasure beach and ample parking. The only issue I had and it’s really not a big issue, is that the mattress and pillows in my room were a bit hard, but that’s just due to personal preference. I’d highly recommend a stay here and I’ll definitely be returning. Thanks Big Blue for a great stay!!

Overpriced and overhyped. For the price you pay, even for the cheapest room, its actually quite a rip -off. Way too many corners have been cut, There was only one plug socket in the room, so if you have more than one thing that needs charged, you're out of luck. The single beds are so narrow that unless you sleep completely still, you will end up rolling out at some point, makes for a very uncomfortable sleep, especially for larger guests or ones who move in their sleep. The breakfast was mediocre for the cost, you can easily find a better quality breakfast anywhere in blackpool, for half the price... and because its buffet style, the breakfast hall is madness with kids running riot everywhere, coughing on the food and touching it with their hands, I witnessed this several times in a very short time frame, very unhygienic. To top it all off an angry drunk wandered into the hotel started kicking doors, shouting and screaming and subsequently setting off the fire alarm, which contuinued to sound intermittently for 2 and a half hours... at 2am... the security done nothing apart from aggravate the situation and made it continue far longer than it needed to. And last but not least, despite being told we did not need the room cleaned, the cleaner harrased us every 10 mins from 9am. Very disappointing

We had a lovely stay the only thing that we found quite annoying is that you had to pay £20 per night to park at the hotel this should be included in the price of the room as some hotels close to the big blue give you free parking very expensive and sometimes there is no spaces and you have to pay to park somewhere else and walk back

Arrived at the hotel there was scaffolding up but it wasn’t an issue as the hotel had emailed to keep me up to date. Reception are was lovely & the gentleman on reception greeted us with a smile & was helpful…we got upgraded to a deluxe room which was stunning. All areas of the hotel were immaculately clean & all the staff friendly. Breakfast had a lot of choices to suit any dietary requirement,the English breakfast was tasty hot & replenished. I will definitely come back after a perfect first stay Thank you

3 night in a standard room only stay, didn’t use hotel for breakfast, used restaurant one night from the a la carte menu, what we had was very reasonable (but some items are overpriced), food very good and great service. If you look closely the rooms are starting to look a little tired around the edges, but would rather stay here than the other hotels in Blackpool. We had booked the hotel direct, but a week before our trip cancelled and booked through hotels.com as it was £50 cheaper for the same type of room
