Pros: proximity to bus and train station and sights of interest in Palermo.
View from roof terrace really cannot be beaten.
Croissants and coffee at breakfast were excellent.
There were more options available but that’s what I chose.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
I was able to check in early when I arrived in Palermo early.
Room view was great.
Cons: My room decor and furnishings were traditional bordering on out-dated and not the type of modern style reflected in any of the photos in the hotel’s profile.
Room 510, which was allocated to me, was next to the stairs to the roof terrace (and an unlocked piano….) and this meant almost constant noise all evening until the roof terrace bar finally closed at midnight. If I had been staying for more than one night then I would have insisted on being moved.
It’s not a bad hotel per se but I would not stay here again as I would not want to risk an evening of such disruption when all I wanted to do was sleep.

Great location, staff and room. Great quality/ price overall. Recommend for 1-2 nights stay.

The staff were so helpful. I commented before that it would be nice if we had cups to make tea and when I returned the cups were in the room.
The only small issue was when having a shower the temp range from very hot to freezing.
i would stay there again

Staff was accommodating and very helpful. Breakfast was wonderful!

I would not stay there. We had items stolen from the room and when we confronted the front desk they were no help. Very disappointed.

Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff! Close to all attractions!

Well located but quite dated and a little down on its luck. Staff was very helpful.

This is a good, if slghtly unusual, hotel in a very good location for parts of the centro historico.
Our double room was large with a spacious bathroom. The beds comfortable.
When you leave the room and take the key the aircon goes off. It takes a while to return the room to the required temperature on return. Since our 4 night stay was in the middle of a very hot spell this was a factor in our comfort. The traffic outside in Via Roma can br noisy and more noticeable at night time.
The rooftop area has an amazing view and the breakfast is good enough to enjoy it with. In the evening the rooftop turns over to a different frsnchise for drinks and dinner. This is used by external grouos and the service has a slightly pushy and commercial feel.
The reception staff of the hotel are charming snd very helpful e.g. in assisting with onward travel in Sicily.
Finslly the lift which is the msin hotel connector betseen its 7 floors has been updsted and works much better thsn in eatlier reviews I saw. Waiting for it is occasionally subject to early morning congestion.
Palermo is a great place to visit all in all!

The hotel was having construction, it was very noisy. The system of cards was not manageable. If we removed the card. None of the outlets in the room worked, and we had things that needed to be active on the power grid breakfast was very minimal, although the view was beautiful overall not a great experience.

Hotel is in a noisy area but there were multiple windows and shutters to help block out some of the city noises. Easy walk to train station and good street food area as well as ancient city attractions.

Extremely rude and unhelpful staff except for one gentleman. Places dated breakfast buffets OK.

This property is very nice. The rooms are clean and quiet. Our room had a balcony and the street was noisy, but once you closed the balcony doors you heard nothing, it was very peaceful. The hotel has a restaurant on the seventh floor and the food is amazing. Sit on the patio (if you can) as the view is pretty awesome. Free breakfast was great!

Dark and small room on the 3rd floor. Very noisy. Not very kind staff at the reception.

Great experience Terrific value for money! Centrally located in Palermo, the rooms were very nice size and the bathrooms well appointed. Most exciting was the size of the shower (European showers tend to be quite small and this one was decent size) However, the best part about this hotel is the rooftop restaurant. We dined there for dinner with superb service from Natalia! The food, drinks and views were out of this world! Was able to have breakfast there as well (included in rate) Definitely would recommend!

Very clean & comfortable! Great location & the view from the balcony was even more beautiful than the picture. Highly recommend!

spacious, comfortable and clean room and secure internet was appreciated. Location to Centrale Railway was excellent for tourists. A lack of understanding in what is termed 'full breakfast' was evident as choice was limited and poorly presented.

Perfect location for sightseeing. Walkable to historic sites and food markets. Rooms were spacious and bathroom too. Pillows were a little hard. Breakfast was ok.

Very modern electronic features. Best rooftop dining and breakfast spot in the city. The best! Wonderful staff. Some of the plumbing was a bit funny.

The breakfast was excellent. The elevator was broken during our stay, repair people were there both days. I would check with the hotel before booking to see if the elevator is working before booking if you have mobility issues. The block that the hotel is located on had a power outage the morning of checkout due to a protest in the square. Therefore we had to shower in the dark and cold water. There was no ability to get a late. check out. The housekeeping staff entered our room without knocking the morning we were leaving. When she seen us she spoke and left but she spoke in her language and we didn’t understand what she said. She could have been advising about the power outage unsure. The staff was friendly and helpful. They allowed us to leave our luggage while we explored the area until our ferry in the evening.

There was major refurbishment taking place, facilities were not available such as no elevator. This should have been indicated prior to booking.
The restaurant was closed in the evening so after a long day we were obliged to go outside. Again what was advertised vs. what was available was inappropriate. Pay for an expectation get something much less

Nice older hotel. Great views from the roof top dining room. Fantastic customer service from everyone at the front desk. Wonderful dining room, and great breakfast. Had rental car issues while there, and they went above and beyond to make sure we got mechanic assistance (even when the car company did not). Very convenient location to most of what you would like to see in Palermo as well as dining options too numerous to count within walking distance as well. Highly recommended hotel. FYI Elevator was being replaced in late February 2024 making it difficult for older people/physically challenged. OTherwise perfect stay!

A great stay walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.

The room was nice and comfortable, the hotel building has character, the restaurant is excellent with a beautiful view of the city. The staff was very kind. We loved this place.

Great brekfast! The rooms are very small but very clean and in good shape. Nice bathroom. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Just one criticism: The mattress was unfortunately very saggy.

Well locate, staff efficient and friendl, great breakfast. Great terrace view. Don’t be discouraged by Roma street (noisy, smell, heavy traffic ), the sights are walking distance and away Roma

Spent 2-nights Palermo at the Ambasciatori Hotel, great location, everything you want to see is walkable, and fantastic views from the rooftop terrace! Would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Palermo!

We chose this hotel as it's near the station. It's well located for the centre of Palermo. Our room was a reasonable size with high ceilings. Bed was comfortable and TV was a smart TV with streaming (although quite small). Downside being an old building was that the noise from the main road and inside the hotel carried. Our room was on to the main road.
Breakfast was average, continental fare but it's served outside on the seventh floor terrace. Really lovely spot with great views.
2.5
Location is fantastic. Front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was charming. We were blown away by the view of the city and the sea from the rooftop bar/restaurant. Breakfast was memorable as there was singing through the streets. If arriving with a car plan to drop off bags at front reception and then park a few blocks away. Not hard, just good to know because the hotel is on a busy street.

Breakfast at the rooftop was amazing with staff catering to our requests for hot chocolate every morning of our stay.

Amazing rooftop restaurant for breakfast. Good choice of food. Staff was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Only downside was that we had an “interior” room.
1.5
Very shabby bathroom.
