The location for us was good as we enjoy walking and we’re happy with the 20 min walk to the shops street area. The bed was comfy too, room was clean. Daily housekeeping service was great. We did not have a luggage stand. At least one would have been helpful. The biggest issue was the bathroom. Whoever approved the design did not do it justice. Albeit it looked nice it was not practical in more ways than one. The mirror was mounted way to high. I understand it was to accommodate the shelf. But by doing that for those of us that are not at least 5’4” it is useless. All I could see when at the sink was from my forehead up. I even asked at the front desk for a step stool so I could see. Unfortunately staff were unable to supply one as it would be a health and safety hazard. Thus had to use the full length mirror in the room that had such poor lighting it was also a struggle. Also, the decision to have a half glass panel on the shower is going to result in extensive maintenance cost down the road as the water that sprays out is already showing water damage signs on the baseboards and the door. As well, the amount of water that collects on the tile floor leaves it a slipping hazard (health and safety hazard) that no floor towel could possible solve.

Awesome staff, great service for a good value. I would recommend this hotel.

Nice room and good services

The staff were super friendly and paid much attention to our family (18 mo old daughter was with my wife and I). While not super close to the city center, it is a very safe and easy 20 min walk to all the bars and restaurants.

Modern hotel outside the city center of Galway. Taxi's and Ubers were quick and easy but a little pricey, $30-$40 round trip, into the city center. Rooms are large and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. This is a large, busy hotel and check-in line was long. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Neat and clean 1 mile walk to city center

The staff are well-informed and friendly and the room was clean. Breakfast offer has to be improved and offer some variety. They had the same breakfast offer for the 5 days we were there.

Lovely staff, mostly comfortable accommodations. Restaurant closes very early. Quick drive to Erye square about a 25min walk.

Overall it was an average experience. The hotel is stated as a 4 star hotel. It reminds more of a 3 star place and absolutely overpriced. The room was extremely small and not comfortable. The hotel really loud at all times.

Comfortable modern room. Staff are very friendly and easy to deal with. Roast of the day dinner was a treat.

Two adults with 2 children, 10 and 5. The family room was wonderful, similar to a typical American sized hotel room. Tub was large and deep.

For exploring Galway, the hotel is a little out of the way. It is a typical conference hotel with little character and organized to deal with masses of people. Particularly during breakfast, this did not work so well. Otherwise, the rooms were nice and clean, the breakfast itself was fine and there was enough space for parking.

The location of the hotel was rather perilous and inconvenient. It is right next to a next station and 15 min walk from the center of town. Otherwise, the room looks recently updated, the beds were firm n comfortable, good water pressure.

Over all good. We did wait a long time for desert as a bus arrived for a meal, the restaurant was under staffed. Gym facilities very poor. Food was delicious and good portions. Room was good and staff extremely friendly. Would return.

All good, have stayed in Maldron hotels in other places and never had any need to complain about anything.
