We went there on an anniversary trip. Check-in was a hassle because for most of the time there was only one clerk, and she was dealing with a problem. Finally, a manager came out, but we spent >30 minutes checking in. The room itself is an efficiency apartment. It is large and comfortable, with two balconies overlooking the beach. The carpet had some stains and pulls from a previous occupant, but otherwise everything was in very good shape. The picture is the view from the balcony. We used the pool and hot tub. The pool was perhaps a little small for the number of people, but then you have an entire ocean 50 yards away. The hot tub was nice. Breakfast was quite good, although a larger dining room would have been nice. We took breakfast back to the room one day because it was so crowded. The staff did a pretty good job of keeping the food stocked. Parking is in a garage across the street. There is very little room to maneuver because the lanes are laid out in right angles, but cars need arcs to make turns. Bring a small car! The location is very nice, right on the beach, with some good restaurants in walking distance. Overall, we had a good time and would stay here again.

What a wonderful place to stay. We liked it so much we decided to stay another day. As soon as we checked in there was a virtual assistant offering sent via text (ivy) Ivy checked in with us to make sure our needs were met. We used ivy to request an additional night of stay. Staff was out of this world! Restaurant on premise was great & offered a very complete complimentary breakfast daily! This hotel was steps away from the ocean & offered a private lounge area with pool, hot tub, tables, chairs, & fire pit area. Rooms offered beautiful views of the ocean. Would stay again anytime!

Front desk agent was amazing! I worked for the hospitality industry for Hyatt and Marriott and she was a 5!

I think the only problem we had was being able to check in early because their system was down. My mom is a cancer survivor and driving through hurricane winds and rain stressed her a bit. But they did let us go sit out near the pool for an hour and a half before they would let us check in. Evan did try to one up me but I work nights and completed 8 days in a row and drove through Hurricane weather just to get there.

Hotel is right on the beach. Breakfast decent, but not up to their ads. Good parking garage arrangements.

We stayed for one night. The place was nice and clean. Breakfast was good.

At check in, when the girl found out that this was our first stay/trip to Myrtle Beach, she changed our room number so we had an amazing view.

An overnight before going to our resort stay. Room was very small and had a double entry door that were hard to open and move luggage in. Room seemed damp. I was concerned because some reviews mentioned cockroaches but we didnt see any. Breakfast was not the best.

perfect for a short trip! Free breakfast was delicious. Location is great and its easy to get around to local attractions. Only wish you could easily rent chairs from the hotel for the beach. Would stay again in the future!

I stay here every month due to work schedule. I travel from Ohio, stay overnight, enjoy the location, the price and the view.

I loved the area around the pool and near the beach. I especially liked all the lounge chairs overlooking the beach with Turf so you didnt have to worry about sand or it getting too hot to walk on. My only complaint was the door to the room would stick and if you didnt notice it wouldn't be locked and someone could have just pushed it open. Also the cleaning crew entered my room at 6 am while I was still asleep , which woke me up earlier than I wanted to get up. They immediately left when they realized but still way too early for them to come into a room.

Check in time was at 4 PM and we arrived right on time. We were told at that time that they double booked our room and had to ask the other guests to move rooms, so our room needed to be cleaned. They said it would take about an hour. I checked back in an hour, and it still was not finished. No communication with us in the interim. I checked back at 5:30 and was told the room was ready. When we arrived into the room, the room was not clean. The toilet had feces under the toilet seat, and the floor was filthy. They were dirty dishes in the dishwasher , and dirty silverware in the drawer. We went and bought our own cleaning supplies and re-cleaned everything, including the kitchen and the bathroom. The rest of the stay was decent. What the hotel does have going for it is location. The breakfast area needs improvement on the weekends. Not sure if it was due to understaffing, but garbage was overflowing and food was not replenished timely. Unsure if I would recommend this property.

Or stay was great as always rooms could be just slightly updated but other than that was amazing trip as always we stay here all the time thank you to the Strand and all the employees and staff way much appreciate you

Loved staying at an ocean front resort. Great location in Myrtle Beach. Wish we stayed longer. Our room was perfectly sized and the kitchenette was wonderful to have. Staff was helpful and friendly. Great for families or couples.

We stayed for just one night in a 2 bedroom suite. We had a beautiful view of the beach. Bed was comfortable. I wish we had a few more days, as I really liked this location. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Easy, short walk direct beach access. We would definitely stay again if we are in Myrtle Beach.

Property was great, area was great. Housekeeping never cleaned our room, just left towels.

The hotel has really went down and used to be a beautiful place to stay.Now it looks like it needs a good coat of paint and a good cleaning
