The weather required us to stay an extra night and the staff was very accommodating. The dining room was excellent; a great variety for breakfast and a truly delicious lamb dinner.

Rooms were nice; beds comfortable. Shower was nice size; good pressure. They offered breakfast with your stay. They had a nice lounge area with a fireplace which they were kind enough to light for us. Offered coffee/tea all the time; and even an honor bar for snacks if you wanted them. Staff was very friendly.

By far the best nights sleep I had while in Iceland! Beds were comfortable, the rooms were super spacious and clean. Friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again!

This is the very first time I’ve stayed at a “self-service” hotel. There is literally no one on the property that I could tell. That said, i was so very pleasantly surprised (after the initial shock of checking myself in). The property was really lovely, clean, excellently appointed. If this is how all of the “self-service” hotels are, I’m a fan. It was little concerning not having staff on hand in case of a problem, however we had no problems and got into our very nice room and had an excellent night’s sleep. I would totally stay here again!

Love this hotel! The lounge is furnished with the antique furniture. lots of original art pieces. The whole style is a perfect combination of old and new. The staffs were nice and helpful, the breakfast had lots of fresh fruits. Clean and comfortable.Totally worthy.

Cute place, very simple and no-frills including the surrounding area. Really nothing much to see in the town but it was a quiet stop-off and the food at the restaurant was good.

Mostly I liked the friendly and professionaly staff, the restaurant food was exelent and sauna treatment was so relaxing. Breakfast very good.

We came in later than expected and front desk guy waited for us.

This had a lodge feel. Sauna was a must. Cute little town with a small general store and pub. Hotel had restaurant and area to get drinks. Fabulous free coffee/hot choc machine. Nice library/lounge area with fireplace. This place is A MUST esp if doing entire ring road. Great place to stop.

Cute and had everything we needed. There were no outlets near the bedside and the staff was a little cold. Otherwise a fine stay!

Property was clean, well equipped and had a great aesthetic. Two of us stayed in a standard room and it was quite large, fitting a double bed, couch, and two chairs. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a rock. The staff was able to accommodate our late arrival despite the lobby closing at 10:00 PM / 22:00. Breakfast was indicated to have been available until 10:00 AM but was closed by 9:30 AM, likely due to a low guest count at the hotel.

I was very sad that I didn't get to stay here because of Covid and the possibility of being quarantined.

The room was larger than the five other, more expensive, hotels we stayed in Iceland. The property was very clean and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was a little slim, but dinner was fantastic.

Awesome restaurant. Try the lamb chop/slices. Hotel is very clean and made with quality wood.

Simple place. Good breakfast, comfortable room, easy access to the Ring Road. They had a restaurant that stayed open late too.

We stayed one night at Bláfell and ended up being quite impressed. We came late and wanted to check-in before reception closed at 10 PM, when we came the nice staff member told us they were present every hour of the day – I wish I had known that. The lounge/bar was extremely cozy and a place where you wanted to hang out and drink a beer. There was also a sauna, which you could freely use. The room was fine and had all the essentials. The breakfast had everything you could which for, but skyr. Check-out was easy and we really enjoyed our stay. I would visit again!
