Happy culture is true - what a lovely hotel, right on the river with a beautiful outdoor space. Park your car and walk everywhere - so convenient. We stayed in the two bedroom two nights and the main hotel one night - both were really special.

Amazing experience with this hotel, the service is extraordinary! Once they saw that we have 2 kids they upgraded our room for free, we didn't ask them to do that! They are superiors 😊😊 We booked one night but since the location, breakfast and service are top, we stayed 3 nights at the end. Very recommended 👌

Wonderful reception staff- especially Samar. She was so friendly and helpful. Also liked the afternoon coffee and tea with cakes. The hotel is in a great location- in walking distance to all the sights. But the hotel is looking tired and the hallways are not adequately lit.

Everything you need is within walking distance. Leave you car in the parking lot after check in, and you won't need it until after you check out. The staff is excellent 👍.

We did not get a confirmation for our reservation, so we booked a second one. Both reservations included all the name in our party, so it was obvious that one of the reservation had to be cancelled. The hotel did not validate, nor asked any question and charged both reservations. They were not open to credit the charges. It’s frustrating.

Extremely happy with the service I received at this hotel. Claire and the team were helpful, friendly and very accomodating. The room was clean and the hotel was cosy and comfortable. We were very impressed with the complimentary snacks and coffee. The hotel is in a fantastic location close to everything! I can’t thank the staff enough for making our stay so enjoyable and stress free! We will certainly be coming back here!

Stayed for 3 days after coming from the 3 Valleys ski area. This stay was a fantastic experience - parking was easy and convenient, check in was smooth as the gentleman was pleasant and professional. He explained the logistics of the hotel and offered info about the surrounding area. The hotel had a bar lounge area on the first floor with a pool table, foosball table, fireplace and lounging area for free afternoon teatime … it also had a small workout area with sauna/showers, climbing wall and relaxation area. Our room was spacious and had a gorgeous view of the creek and the Aiguille du Midi … Breakfast was great with a wide range of food choices along with a beautiful view from the dining area. The hotel offered a discount for Ski rental through a shop nearby and had a ski locker for use by guests. Restaurants and shopping were all around - we walked to the town center and roamed about easily. This will be our first choice if we return to Chamonix in the future - thank you L’Arve !! Booking through Expedia made it easy and all the charges were exactly as expected - bravo to both !

Great spot. Very friendly service. Complimentary tea, coffee, water and snacks is a nice touch. Big rooms. They even dropped my skis off for me as the ski shop was closed

They even prepared my « œuf à la coque », which was not suggested at breakfast, very good service!

We stayed here for the night on our way home from Les Menuires and now are thinking this could be our next destination. The staff at L’arve were helpful, delightful, and even great French teachers. Such a wonderful experience on our journey. Thanks staff at L’arve for making this an amazing experience.

Overall good hotel, just a shame about the paper thin walls and ceiling as you can hear everything, it sounded like there was an elephant stomping around above our room every night until about midnight. But the hotel was clean and friendly I wouldn’t stay again because of the noise and having a young child with us

Staff was very nice. The hotel has a wonderful breakfast before skiing, watwr and coffee stations, pool table and nice sitting area. Ski bus is right outside of hotel. Near by ski rental too. All in walking diatance to shoppIng, food and train.

Hotel is on the river, with a lawn for relaxing. Pastries, coffee, tea provided daily. Bar at hotel with comfy chairs for lounging. Walk to pedestrian streets. Free bikes to use, and can ride from hotel up the chamonix valley on bike paths.

It was amazing because it have all that you need in the travel. The bedroom always was clean and hot. The brrakfast had the necesary things AND variable menú.

We had reserved a one bedroom apartment unit, but we discovered the one bedroom apartments had the bedroom in a basement with no window or ventilation. Even worse, the toilet was upstairs, and the stairs were very narrow. We requested a room on one level. We were given a very small room with a tiny bathroom, which the staff told us was the only room available. Later we discovered there were much nicer rooms available. Even mentioning Rick Steves did not merit better treatment.

This place is so charming. Super eco friendly, service is actually first class from front desk to restaurant. Not to mention the location is perfect and right at the edge of the river. 5 stars without 5 star price.

Thanks to the room upgrade and the receptionist introduced a very good local restaurant “Bizes”. Our family had a great time staying at Hôtel de l'Arve by HappyCulture.
