Very roomy. Beds were excellent beautiful property. No suitcase stands, no glassware in room, and no tea pot or coffee maker in the room. Restaurant wouldn’t do EVEN coffee until Open.

Playa Venao beach is fantastic for families who love swimming and surfing. There are many surf lessons available. Food (especially coffee) is very expensive ($3 for one small cup). Playa Venao Hotel Resort has a beautiful pool that is clean. We found check-in to be quick, but unwelcoming. No one gave us a map, told us where things were or how things worked. Also, they claim to have a fitness room, but it was horrible! There were 6 mismatched and rusty weights and a broken treadmill as well as a bench. Our AC was broken and the maintenance did not come, but they moved our room. The rooms are clean and spacious! The towels smelled clean, but on 2 occasions, there was red lipstick stains. The worst part was that the hotel rents the pool out to people who aren't staying at the hotel. People who paid for the day played their own loud music and took up space and never left the pool. This made us feel like they were trying to make money and overcrowd the pool. Additionally, the pool deck needs to be fixed (broken boards and nails). The food options are very expensive! We ended up eating at other locations.

The infinity pool and the Jacuzzi are amazing in front of the beach, The staff were very friendly, I defiantly recommend about the hotel.

Great place away from the hustle and bustle of Panama City. Lovely beach,great pool, restaurants along the beach, but very long drive to get there. Worth it, but be prepared for the drive.

The location and overall hotel are very good. Rooms are nice and comfortable but bathroom needs updating. Room description in hotels.com did not match actual room however and the living area was much smaller than on description. The guy at check in said that I should have called to verify with hotel before coming and not trusting what hotels.com writes. While overall hotel amenities, mainly pool was quite nice, the hotel general maintenance is lacking. One day we lost power for half day and apparently generator was broken; no electricity or water for half day is unacceptable for such a nice resort. All other hotels in area had working generators. The food service was good but quality of food at hotel restaurant is lacking.

Its seclusion was great, as is a ways out. My only 2 dissapoinments were the conditions of the shower which will not drain correctly and the pool slide which did not have a last set of steps for access. One will have to pull up to it through the wall.

Beautiful hotel with an excellent service! The installations are perfectly cleaned, the pool is great and the beach is just a few steps of the hotel.

It's hard to eat there in the morning. You need to order a extra dish because of the flies. Also do not leave anything outside your room it might get taken.

If you are into water sports this is the hotel for you. It is located on one of the best beaches on the Panamanian Pacific, in fact a surf contest took place during on a day of our stay. It has a nice restaurant. A very well balanced breakfast was served every morning. The surroundings are full of nature, it is in fact one of the main cattle and agriculture industry in Panama. A few mor details could be welcomed, more towel hangers or clothe shelves are a few of those. In general a good option.

The outdoor warm water Jacuzzi is really nice. Even though we are the only one at the dinner service, the food is great and has it value. Btw, there is a pool table just nearby restaurant which you can kill some time if you don't.want to go swimming and surfing.

We stayed at Playa Venao for 3 nights. Great beach for walking (and surfing) beautiful areas to explore. Deluxe room was large, and very clean. Staff are always available to assist with any need. Best hotel on the beach!

Resort is located about 30 miles from the nearest small town. Beach is definitely a surfers paradise with many other activities (horseback riding, snorkeling, hiking, etc). Stuff was great, and super helpful!

We have been here before and will come back. It is a unique location and the services and amenities are good. My only comments are you really have to pay for them. It is quite pricey and they can get away with it as they are really the only quality place in that area

The resort is a treck from Panama City ( 5+ hours) BUT so worth it. From the well designed entry way to the layout of the green space, pool and "cottages," this place was very pleasing and well thought out. It is a resort and definitely the one with the most polish and service on the beach. It helps if you like to surf as the break is front and center. If not, you will still enjoy the pool and beach. The on-site restaurant served fresh and very nice meals at all times of day - and the view is spectacular. The staff, from the from desk (Jose Luis and Martha{I believe that is her name]) to the food servers are all polite and quick to address your needs. Really, everything went very well - we were a family of 4 ( 2 kids -- 14 and 17) and all of us loved it. Sincerely looking to return to improve on my surfing.

A little remote from anything and everything the location offers very tranquil and peaceful environment. Nice pool, beach. Friendly service. May use a few extra beach/pool umbrellas.

Amazing, relaxing, quiet - these are all words I can use to describe this hotel / location. Food is fantastic, service is great, and the endless pool was a blast to hang out it all day. Only thing lacking were phones in the rooms to call other guest rooms and front desk... I was pretty puzzled on that one. So I did have to walk each time to the front desk to request whatever it was I needed... but on the other hand it forced me to move my lazy butt so it wasn't all that bad ;-)

My son enjoyed a lot surfing.
