Wonderful dining, time with family, walk around the grounds.

I stayed overnight at CrossBasket Castle with my boyfriend as he received a generous voucher for the Michel Roux Jr tasting menu. The hotel and staff are absolutely brilliant and extremely knowledgeable and hospitable. The food is exquisite and it’s possibly one of the finest cheese boards we have ever had. Look forward to retuning one day.

If you have always dreamed of staying in a castle STAY HERE!!! It was the most gorgeous place with incredible service and food. The rooms are right out of a story book. I would stay here forever if I could!

The property and country house hotel are beautiful and the staff are very pleasant. The location is very pretty sited on a river with large parks for walking.The food was excellent. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

I was charged for two nights and was not issued a refund for the cancelled night. Expedia blames Crossbucket, Crossbucket blames Expedia. This is not okay!

Beautiful hotel with Stunning grounds. We stayed in a lodge & it was better than expected. The sauna & steam room within the lodge were a welcome surprise. One disappointment was that the Hot Tub was broken & we were planning on using it. We were offered another lodge but we had already unpacked & we’re just about to go out. A special mention to all the staff we met, who were great!

This was one of the highlights of our time in Scotland. It was beautiful inside and out. Great staff and service. Treated like royalty!

What a beautiful place to stay. The castle and grounds are meticulously kept. It was a quiet, peaceful setting even with its proximity to Glasgow. The staff was so attentive and friendly. They were observant and helpful to all our needs-even making recommendations for later stops on our trip. The room was great: comfortable bed, amazing rainfall shower and stocked with everything we could need. Our only complaint: we couldn’t stay longer! (Our itinerary only afforded us time to spend one night) We will certainly come back and will recommend the castle to anyone traveling to this area of Scotland.

After driving up from southern Wales in dark, rainy, and freezing conditions, I was a ball of nerves. Aima (I’m sure I spelled her name wrong) welcomed us in with such a calming kindness. She got us checked in and settled immediately. We had the 6 course dinner (which was incredible) and as we ate, they turned down our beds and we enjoyed a fabulous restful sleep. The service from each person was magnificent. We particularly appreciated Aima (as we mentioned), the harpist, our waiter at dinner, and the young lady who served us breakfast in the morning. Each person made a wonderful impression on us and deserve recognition. The grounds are gorgeous, so take a walk around if you can. 10/10 stay. We will be back. Unforgettable.

Hotel was understaffed and service in Resturant was very slow. Front desk was unattended most of the time.

Violence I have stayed in 400 hotels from exclusive to invitation only but I have never experienced any violence until I visited cross basket’s. It dose not matter my back round or if I am I have money I might have saved for years. To get insults from a night potter to tell he he meets untitled people like me every day i have pay my due to stay and more I gave my room number and second name for time to argue and result to pure unprovoked bullying and violence was not acceptable. From a night porter in a 5 star + hotle is not an acceptable representation for a top class chef i conduct my self in genuine and respectful manner at all times while being a guest if they employ violence at there door for what could have be resolved though dialogue or alternatively means is a bad reflection and should be very wary of approaching this establishment

Sergit was great. We were driving in and would arrive after 10 pm. He actually called to make sure we were going to arrive and arranged for salmon sandwiches for our room since the restaurant would be closed.

A gem of a small hotel. Historic building with real antiques. Staff was very attentive and made us feel special. Even the “small rooms” felt large and the baths were luxurious. We opened our windows at night and only sound was the water on the stream on one side of the castle. Both the young and old persons in our group were very impressed.

A very lovely stay.A room I requested was supplied.Dinner and breakfast were both excellent , and corona virus precautions were all in place.

This hotel was pretty decent but although it’s per friendly I wasn’t allowed to bring my little dog down to any of the rooms they had downstairs so my stay consisted of room service and walks outside. However I would have liked to of sat at the wee window bit where you can see the river for that experience. I was also put in the wrong room upon arrival as it was apparently an upgrade but got transferred to the room I paid for as the room I was put in was one of the ones I didn’t prefer. Overall it wasn’t much of a problem to get moved to the correct room & for the price the view was great however I think the carpets could have been cleaned & more toiletries provided as the room was booked for 2 could maybe fit 3 people I only got enough stuff to do myself which is not great if you run out and have to ask for more but I guess that’s part in parcel. My experience could of been a little better in my opinion but apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would most likely be back again. Hopefully the woman doesn’t tell me it cost 75£ for breakfast again when leaving forgetting to mention that was last nights dinner too lol.

This place is simply amazing, we had a stop over on the way to Perth and thought lets go for it. Inside and out Crossbasket Castle is amazing rooms are very comfortable and cleanliness is king. Only thing that let it down was the customer service, it was almost like due to Covid they did not want you there. I ordered a wine that they did not have in-stock and noticed it was the same thing on another table for a different wine overall service was poor (McDonalds Standard). My expectation of an establishment of this calibre and stature to be 150% above everything else. Overall it was disappointing and reflected badly as a paying customer. I hope things will improve as I want to visit the other hotels and restaurants which are part of this group.

Beautiful old castle, with very well kept grounds, staff were attentive and helpful, the room was very pleasant with comfortable bed and a roomy ensuite with, most importantly, a good shower!
