Very nice staff, very clean great amenities. Elevator broke while we were there but they had someone coming to fix it the day we checked out. Things like that happen sometimes but over all the stay was wonderful.

The rooms and the hotel are just dirty and nasty. Maids ONLY clean when you check out. When we got to our room there was dirt , trash, and some sticky stuff all over the floor. When we told Brian the manager his response was that there is a broom and cleaning supplies in the room. We go to Myrtle beach 3 times a year for around 4 days each time and have never had a bad experience until staying at this nightmare of a hotel. They couldn’t even be bothered to clean the rooms for all the Marines that were there celebrating the Marines birthday. Either way I will never stay here again or or even recommend it to a homeless person. Let’s not forget about the mold and the cracked tub floor in my room either.

The stay was amazing. All the staff were friendly. The beds were comfortable the rooms adequate in size. The bathroom is small. Very clean. The restaurant on site has great food. Prices are what you expect for a hotel. The one downside is the TV is outdated.

Stay far far away! We stayed here for our anniversary. I unfortunately did not look at the reviews before booking because the place was wonderful when we got married in 2002. The entire hotel was filthy and most of it needs desperately to be cleaned and renovated. There was so much mold in the shower I can’t even believe I showered there. We saw 2 dead cockroaches when we got there and should have moved rooms then. At 11pm we saw a giant (over an inch long) cockroach running across the floor. We got a new room long enough to make it through the night and ended up checking out 2 nights early and going somewhere else. The worst part is that when we complained to the staff they acted if this was normal and could care less

The room was very clean and comfortable. The kids loved the waterpark and proximity to the beach is fantastic. The check in procedure was not easy. They tried to make us listen to a time share pitch to get room keys. If you haven't stayed here before it can be tricky to find parking for the correct tower. No restrooms were available around the waterpark. You have to go to the restaurant in tower 2 or go back to your room.

Very ran down..heated pools were cold and underfilled.. staff very unfriendly. Whirlpool in room was broken and didn't drain well. Water was scaling and probably not up to code on temperature regulations..onsite restaurant messed up breakfast order andeft multiple items out and never answered call when tried to resolve...we won't be back.

The floor felt damp and sticky and mold on a lampshade and in the bathroom. We did like having bed accommodations for all my family. Liked the pools, lazy river, water slides and game room. We had fun and our trip was planned for when Hurricane Helene hit our city of Greenville, SC. Pray for the victims in NC.

Our overnight stay was great. We did see onebig in our room which looked like a baby roach. Grandson loved the arcade and waterslides.

The door was difficult to open. The refrigerator didnt have handles and it opened from the right which was right against the wall making it extremly hard to open. Fixtures had a lot of build up of dust and grime. The bed was comfortable.

Me and my toddler went for the weekend, we had a great time. It’s very kid friendly. Staff that I encountered were nice and plenty of parking. Definitely will be coming back.

Overall, we were pleased with the property and its access to the beach. Also, the staff we interacted with were very helpful. The furniture in the room was well worn and the sliding door onto the balcony was very hard to open and could not be secured. It took a fair amount of time to get hot water to the sinks and shower. But once it was there it was great. We enjoyed our stay and for the first several days it was quiet and restful. On Friday evening a couple b=moved in next door and they yelled and sounded like they were fighting. We were a bit concerned that they might become violent. We were checking out on Saturday and so it was just the one night of disturbance.

The water park, hot tubs and pool were the best part of my stay. The rooms were ok, could use an upgrade though. The couches in the bedroom need updating too. But the customer care was good. I didn’t like the fact that parking was not free for residents/guests of crown reef. Overall stay was good.

We liked the exterior of the hotel, water park, pools etc. we did not like how dirty our room and hallways were. Elevator was very stinky at all times. Our bathtub was clogged when we got there, maintenance came very fast and fixed it but left chunks of hairs everywhere. Hotel needs an update and better cleaning.

Coackraches(water bugs) in room, furniture in room falling apart, remotes don’t work, their partnership with Enjoi Resort scams you into taking a $50 tour of the resort in return for a voucher(and money back) to spend on things at the resort, but turns out to be a timeshare scandal that was never told to you in the beginning. Pools always had stuff floating in them, lazy river wasn’t working for multiple days, housekeeping constantly banging on door even when we had the “do not disturb” sign on door. Would not recommend anyone stay there.

Rooms weren’t as clean this year. The biggest disappointment was no breakfast buffet. We were 4 adults and one child (2 rooms booked). One look at the menu and we left to go find breakfast outside the resort, which was a huge inconvenience because we had all dressed for the beach. Second, if you are leaving one tiny bottle of shampoo and one small soap, you shouldn’t list these as items provided. If you won’t provide enough for people to use, it draws attention to the lack of amenities.Even the facial tissue holder was empty.Not enough hangers, silverware, etc. Third, I had to call twice about unknown charges someone added during my stay. I’m glad I check my account. I’m still waiting for over $270 to be refunded. Nobody would explain why the charges appeared and staff on the first call was curt and no apology. We enjoyed the pools and beach. Last year we thought we had found our new place to return to every year. Now I think we need to look around.

Everything was great. The only problem was the Loco Gecko employees. Did not inform us when grill closed until after we placed our order and was waiting on our food. The server we had kept disapearing and didnt not check on us. We had to keep asking the bartender for anything we needed.
