The apartment did not disappoint. The description was accurate. The host responded quickly and warmly. If we return to Venice, this would definitely be a place where we would stay!

The view of the Grand Canal is in itself worth the visit. The apartment was comfortable, clean and perfect for our family of six.

Great, classic apartment on the Grand canal with excellent communication with the owner. Loved the kitchen and great room. Could use some shower curtains in the bath. Definitely recommended!

Amazing location! The property is large and very Venetian!

We had a beautiful stay with an amazing view of The Grand Canal. Just a couple of stops from San Marco but extremely quiet location. The lift was out so it does make it difficult for large baggage but our host helped and was extremely helpful throughout. Gave some great restaurant recommendations such as "Guna," and was very pleasant. Be sure to keep a close eye on the water bus schedules as many of them only run from 1000~1700 at the closest bus location.

All the great things people said about the apartment are true. My problem was that we are seniors and I booked an apartment with an elevator. The elevator was out of service when we arrived. Although I had told Hugo that we were seniors, he did not tell me ahead of time about the problem, there was no one to help with our luggage (50 stairs) and he offered no compensation. Not even a bottle of wine! So, I didn’t like our host as much as the other reviewers. I also found the bathtub with shower hose wasn’t easy to use. Being right on the Grand Canal, though, was amazing!

Spacious Venetian apartment centrally located with stunning view of Grand Canal. Our family of four explored Venice with apartment as home base. Vaporetto stop nearby. Magical city. Beautiful place to stay!

We were a group of mothers in our 60's and daughters in their 30's and had a fabulous stay here in Venice. I booked the flat months ahead because of its beauty and location and was still spell bound when I walked into the huge living room overlookingthe Grand Canal. Its mesmerizing and I could spend hours just watching life happen below. This is my 6+ time visiting Venice and this view from here of the Grand Canal has been my very favorite because the Canal narrows here and I felt so close to the other side. None of the buildings across the Canal were being renovated so there were hours in the morning when the sun shown on the opposite side and the ancient architecture just glowed. 3 very large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, elevator, a/c and quite large kichen were loved by all of us. The terrace was great too. Its wonderful to be in this quiet area away from crowds but quick access to 2 vaporetto stops also. The owner always responded and we used Whatsapp. This would be my go to place on my next visit to Venice, there's always another visit here.

This apartment was absolutely gorgeous with every amenity, the best location, AND a view! Hugo was a very gracious host and helped us with all our needs.

Hugo and Renata (housekeeper) were fantastic and communicated well. The rental was fantastic. The views from the living room were heavenly. We would sit with our morning coffee or an evening glass of wine just watching the boats go by on the grand canal. The kitchen had all the supplies one would need to cook a full meal. There were 2 grocery stores nearby and the S.Angelo vaporetto boat stop was just around the corner and it was easy getting luggage to the rental. We absolutely loved our stay! After reading a LOT of reviews - we were so thankful for the accuracy associated with this property. While everyone will have their own opinions - we loved opening the windows inn the living room in the mornings and evenings and just taking in the sounds of the Grand Canal. Location wise excellent - if you have a lot of luggage - take the Water Taxi on Day 1 - going back out easier. Hugo's advice was great - Main BR can maybe do with a new mattress - but otherwise fantastic stay - will be back!

My family arrived early and was able to check in with no issues. The host was very welcoming and gave us tips on how to get to things. The view overlooking the canal was amazing. Pictures do not do it justice.

This property is a very special place. The apartment is very spacious, has a fully outfitted kitchen and 2 dining areas, and is beautifully furnished. Excellent air conditioning, which is a giant plus in the warm months. The pictures in the property description are quite accurate - it is indeed as pretty and comfortable as it looks! The location is perfect with huge views overlooking the Grand Canal and easy, quick access to a key boat stop. Close to numerous restaurants and shops. Away from the super crowded tourist haunts, yet a quick walk to them. The property owner has been very helpful, both during our trip planning, and while we were in Venice. He is a great guy and we enjoyed him. If we ever get a chance to return to Venice, this apartment would be at the top of my wish list!

Beautiful 3rd floor appartment with absoulutly glorious view of Grand Canal very near Vaporetto stop and central to everything but in very quiet location. Owner lives next door and is very obliging and sorted out some minor problems we had very quickly. Building has new installed lift so taking luggage to the apartment is no problem which is good as stairs are quite a climb. Would recommend.

Beautiful location overlooking the Grand Canal, just sitting in the living room watching life go by on the canal was perfect. The location of the apartment is very good for all sites which are an easy walk away and the local restaurants and bars cater for all tastes and prices.

This was a fantastic apartment overlooking the grand canal in a quiet courtyard close to everything. 4 minutes to accademia bridge, 12 minutes to St Mark’s, 15 minutes to Rialto. The water taxi dock is a one minute walk with no bridges - super convenient. Hugo was quick to communicate with and was waiting for us when we arrived to give us a quick tour. We were jet lagged and super happy to spend several hours each day after exploring just enjoying this fabulous flat and watching Venice go by from the huge windows overlooking the grand canal. The beds ranged from soft to hard, which gave a nice variety so everyone could find something comfortable. Highly recommend and hope to return soon!

The Apartment was in an ideal location (quiet) with beautiful views of the Grand Canal. Hughes was a pleasure to work with, and offered great advice. The flat if very large with ample space for lounging, cooking, eating and relaxing. Being on the third floor, access to a rooftop terrace was a nice bonus. An elevator is being installed, and as of this review, and only a few weeks away from completion. We would highly recommend this apartment and look forward to rebooking for another season.

We have stayed in many rentals, but this one was by far the best one ever. The apartment is stunning, even nicer than what you see on the pictures posted. It is spacious and feels like home away from home. It has everything that you wish for: comfy beds, tons of books, amazing views, beautiful art work, it's super clean, the kitchen is well equipped for cooking and it is in a wonderful location. Hugues was super nice and very helpful. We loved our stay here and hope to be back one day. Thank you for making us feel at home.

This place is a wonderful find. Great flat overlooking the canal. Spacious, clean, very comfortable.

We were in Venice for just a few days and stayed at this lovely apartment. In addition to the location, we chose the apartment because an elevator was being installed. However, it was not done in time for our stay. Being on the top floor, this made access very challenging -- especially since three of us our 60 years old with bad knees. Many flights of stairs!! Other than the elevator, our stay was wonderful.

Just come back from an amazing stay in Venice. The apartment was in a great location, the views from the lounge were fabulous. You could sit and watch the world go up and down the grand canal. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. Our host was quick to respond to any queries we had before we arrived and even met us off the boat. Excellent apartment. Fabulous holiday. Would strongly recommend.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful and spacious home, and it’s utterly amazing location. Staying on the Grand Canal was simply magical. The views alone will keep you mesmerized - and yet there is so much to explore! Venice holds much more than any tourist will ever have the time to see, and you can get to all of it from this luxurious apartment. Get your vaperetto pass and then go wherever you like - the “water bus” stop is very close. Yet the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful at night. Hugh was a welcoming, gracious host who was willing to help us whenever needed during our stay. But we really didn’t need to call on him, as all was ready for us upon arrival. (Trust his food recommendations!) Although centuries old, the graceful house has been recently renovated. It was extremely clean, the beds and sofas were comfortable, and the rest of the furnishings were elegant antiques. The kitchen was huge and extremely well-appointed, and the roof deck was perfect for an early evening glass of wine before dinner. Can you tell we loved it?? Soon the elevator will be installed, eliminating the need to carry luggage up to/down from this historic penthouse. Nothing more could be desired. Stay for a while!

We enjoyed this apartment very much. The rooms are more spacious than they appear online. The owner was very easy to work with and very helpful during our stay. The apartment is in a great location and is just a short walk from San Marco and the Rialto Bridge.
