We found the hotel to be very dated and needs to be revamped

Not a lot, other than the location worked for our purpose.

Everything, the room was small, smelt like a wet dog had been in there prior to us. Breakfast had no smoked salmon, quality of the food was poor. But more than anything my wife was horrified to be the one women for breakfast both days and in the bar on our arrival night. The place was full of white males very non inclusive, it was like stepping back 20 years. She felt very uncomfortable, I would highly avoid this location in your a woman. Personally we will never stay here again.

Breakfast options, whilst enjoyable, were a little more restrictive than I was expecting or would consider appropriate given the general status of the hotel. I have had greater choice from lesser hotels. Room was a bit small - although clean

Good location, comfortable room. Not busy, could use pool quite regularly (our room overlooked the pool, so we could see if it was busy).

Food was ok, though a bit expensive. On second morning, waitress took our order but then forgot to pass it on - ended up waiting a long time before we realised nothing was coming. No apology was given when the error was found and in fact the main item we wanted on the menu was not available. Left feeling rather annoyed.

It was cheap, relatively easy access to Bewl water, restaurant was all right

Very difficult to move around if you don’t drive - taxi is virtually unavailable ( maybe part of it was Easter bank holiday), busses circulated only 4 ot so times a day, staff didn’t explain how to take a bus from Tunbridge Wells, was generally not very polite and helpful( especially reception staff was horrible), the place needs a general renovation as well as team retraining.

rooms not serviced automatically - you had to ask reception for clean towels and room clean tried to charge us for 4 bottles of £37 Prosecco on 4 separate occasions!!! even after we had mentioned it when we checked the bill on day 3 language of some group (all male) guests in the restaurant at night wasn’t what we wanted to hear whilst having dinner

not much went to play golf and they closed the course

pool area very small no shower gel in the rooms which are very dated very average breakfast no toast delivered and the scrambled eggs were omelette chopped up

Access to outside from bedroom-I’m a smoker!

Servicing and replenishment of coffee, bathroom supplies etc only done by request.

It was quiet

There was only one plug in the whole room, had to request an extension twice. I also requested to get the room clean as their policy states you have to request it but no one showed up.

Our rooms were a good size, very clean and near to each other. Good selection for breakfast. Buffet style breakfast at the weekend plus freshly cook food to order. Monday morning food was cooked to order. All staff were helpful and polite

The settings were really nice and the staff were very friendly helpful and professional. The accommodation was very adequate, breakfast was good.

Just felt there was a lack of staff to cover all the facilties. For example the lounge bar was closed and you had to go to the restaurant bar to get a drink and the staff were already busy serving customers with their meals. Dale Hill Hotel is not alone with this problem - I suppose with everything that is happening perhaps we were lucky to even get away for a break.

Spacious, clean and good service. Excellent value in the winter and wonderful gym and swimming pool. Topped off by amazing views and good dining. It still had very attractive 20 foot xmas tree in reception.
