Our stay was great! Especially the people managing it. When the weather was awful (heavy storm) around Dalshöfdl and we could not continue our travel, we were welcome to book another night and were safely escorted to the nearby village by one of the owners.

We loved the setting (beautiful views, great walks to a nearby river recommended by the owners, peaceful). The common areas (kitchen and dining room) were great. The waffles were great too! Check in was very easy. Easy 45 minute drive to Skaftafell base camp.

We loved most things. But just be aware that access is via a long gravel path, but easily driven on with a normal car. Door locks and door mechanisms are a bit noisy so if someone opens their door in the middle of the night, then you can hear it. Just be aware that you need to stock up on groceries or food before you come, as there are no food options within 25 minutes drive. But they have a fridge/freezer, and an oven so you can stock food.

Loved having a sink & mirror inside our room (only had to share toilets/showers...we didn't have any wait times). Nice communal kitchen and lounge area.

Very nice and inviting breakfast/dining room with a view, outdoor deck with chairs and tables, spacious kitchen, very comfy beds, quiet sleeping, pefect access to sufficient charging options (near beds and more than one). Must see is the waterfall in walking distance 5mins from house.

Perfect location on our trip around Iceland just before heading to Jökulsárlón Glacier. Accommodation was beautifully clean, warm and comfortable for our family of four. Nice extra touch with the fresh waffles on arrival, thank you.

Location, owners very kind, beatiful house and scenery.

Very noisy, we could hear everything: lockers, kitchen, bathroom (especially fan), and neighbours . Bedrooms are not well isolated. We could not sleep well all three nights we spent there.
