the hotel was great and the room was super comfortable and clean. it felt too hot though from the moment i walked in as alot of the radiators were turned up too high

Great location. amazing reception staff. We booked a quadruple room for 3 of us which was comfortable. The bathroom was tiny but everything worked. The breakfast was included and was ok but the breakfast room was crowded and hot. The coffee was stewed from sitting on a hot plate and the food was not what I would choose to eat.

No European plug. Only USB A near the floor. Very small bathroom in the room. Fortunately the staff gives good service.

Was pleasantly suprised as had read negative reviews . Clean friendly stay , the staff were so polite and helpful. The breakfast was of a good standard too . We had to share bathroom and toilet but were very clean . Reception is 24 hr and you get to speak to a person. I discovered the plan is to renovate al rooms to an en-suite design for spring 2025 . A lovely stay for us in the heart of London !

Overall hotel is reasonably good, staff friendly and breakfast is ok. Location is good nearby tube station and St. Pancras station

Room was OK if a little tatty but the shower room was very cramped and awkward to use.

Nice and clean. Breakfast disappointing.

I’m usually pretty relaxed when it comes to overseas hotel experiences (I’m from the states). And in reading the reviews I was hopeful that others were overreacting… they were not. I feel 3 stars is generous. The location was excellent which is ultimately what caused me to book the place. It is very walkable to the tube and restaurants are right around the corner. The accommodations left much to be desired. If you’re spending a day or two in London and need somewhere to crash. Perfect. If however, like me you plan on making it your home base as you take day trips to Stonehenge, Paris, or Dover. Best to book somewhere with a bit higher star rating and more comfortable accommodations.

I was for 7 days and they never changed sheets or towels. They gave me a room without a bathroom, when I made the reservation it was supposedly with a private bathroom, they gave me a room with a shared bathroom, the they told me that those were more expensive. Before making a reservation at a hotel check what they offer.

Simple and basic room and breakfast, shared shower. Convenient location. Booked when the price was discounted (£69/night). For that price, in the centre of London, it's worth it! Thats why i give a 5 star.

The location is great to the subway station. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast options were good. Lots of stairs to climb which was difficult for my mother. Would prefer better air conditioning options- the fan in our room was not enough for when it was really hot. Would also like a common space to hang out that is not the general office.

Staff response to reasonable request.

Do not choose this hotel if you want communication. Do not choose this hotel if you like a room that is not a broom cupboard furnished from the last century. Do not choose this hotel if you want a proper shower. In short, don’t book this hotel and I personally will never use Expedia again

Very nice staff. Very well-stocked breakfast. The room was on the top floor and with a small window, it was a bit too warm even with the window open all night.

As hotel rooms go, this was the tiniest I'd ever been in. More comparable to guest houses / private rooms in hostels, but priced decidedly above that range. Not enough value for money.

Kind staff and great location. They hotel needs paint and renovation but is otherwise a good hotel.

Got unfortunately a room on the ground floor just outside a renovation project within the hotel and also where the personal had a stairway where the stood and talked early in the morning without thinking of if anybody was sleeping in the room beside. The room was very responsive and you also saw the light trough the door into the room from the stairway outside. Beside this I was satisfied and a very helpful reception

Not very good room not very clean

It was just ok ,and served it's purpose

The property was easily accessible from the tube and very central for exploring London.
Some of the decor and furniture could do with updating and cleaning thoroughly e.g. stains in the wardrobe and tide marks on the walls from previous water leakages or damp

We enjoy walking from the hotel to the train station early morning and feeling safe and even entertained.

Was very happy with the room and cleanliness. The breakfast was very good.
My only problem was a drip outside as it was raining hitting something metal which disrupted my sleep and the radiator was on all night but that didn’t take away my review stars.

I’ll never stay here again. I know you get what you pay for, and this was cheap, but it wasn’t comfortable. I knew the room would be small but it was really tired and outdated. At least I had en-suite, many rooms don’t. Bathroom fittings were broken but the shower was ok.
The room had a small patio but it wasn’t useable as it was very dirty and had a cable across the doorway that was a major trip hazard.
The big problem for me was the inability to sleep. It was raining hard outside and the rain on the feet of the plastic fencing was incredibly loud. At about 1am I was out in the pouring rain trying to cover up the plastic to dampen the noise.
The room was too hot. The radiator in the room wasn’t adjustable and was permanently on. I could open the door in daytime but at night it was just too hot.
Breakfast was adequate. Continental only. But to finish breakfast at 9am at weekends is really outdated. 10am should be the minimum.

Was a great hotel but building work seemed to be going on around us. Hotel claims to have a 24 hour reception but when we were handing our key over there was no one there. So after 15 minutes we put the key on the hook ourselves and left a message. Breakfast was good, but would have liked to have known it was continental as nothing was mentioned in the description on the Expedia app. All in all, a pleasant enough stay which was reasonable value for money.

Small rooms with no toilets inside. The bed wasn’t comfortable and the room was dusty. It does the job if you are looking for a bed and a roof otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it. Very simple breakfast with no variety.
2.0
My only complaint was the lack of information regarding showers and toilets not being in your room. You had to share with other guests. Other than the bathroom situation, this property was decent for my limited stay.

There is no elevator, need to share the toilet and no water supply the shower in the top floor. I’m stayed one night with 2 guest, room fare breakfast included.

Great location, just off Tottenham Court Road. Won't allow you to check in early even if the room is ready. Baggage area not secure. Breakfast is continental and very limited. Ok for a budget 2*. Definitely not worth a hogh rating.

The room wasn't advertised as shared bathroom, the breakfast was terrible and then they provided me with an incorrect invoice resulting in me needing to spend an hour contacting hotels.com to rectify

I’m not a fan of Hostels however I found Arran Hostel to be cute and accommodating the staff was quite friendly and willing to help with providing as much information as possible. It’s a bit out of the way but the adventures you get to enjoy being lost makes for memorable moments. I highly recommend Arran Hostel😍

the hotel is really close to the train station and subway. it is a very old property but its not too bad for its location and price .
