Room was quiet and clean. Easy access to freeway. Lots of traffic in the area. No complimentary breakfast and was charged $15 a day to park my car. Uncalled for.

This property is a must stay. It is a historic property that has been preserved while still keeping a modern feel. Room was perfect. Ice comfortable bed and great shower. Has several bars and restaurants on property so it has a plenty to offer everyone. Super close to sightseeing and amazing restaurants within walking distance

Like many Fairmont properties in Canada, this is an historic hotel in Victoria, located right in the centre of town. To start with the positive, the restaurants in the hotel were wonderful, with great food and really first class service. I very highly recommend the afternoon tea, which is well worth the high price! The pool complex is also nice, although the hot tub was not functioning. Now to the concerns. The Hotel itself seemed somewhat understaffed, room cleaning seemed to miss (no soap at bathroom sink, and the beds were casually made. Finally, I had deep concerns with the bell desk. We asked about the complimentary bikes and learned this service is run through the bell desk. The desk attendant told us bikes were available and just come by the desk. We subsequently went to our room and changed, and when we returned for bikes the bell captain told us "Sorry but all the bikes were out" As we protested having just been told they were available, the bell hop who had told us they were available came round the corner and confirmed he had offered us a bike. Without missing a beat the bell captain who had just told us there were no bikes available, causally directed the other bellhop to get two bikes. No apology or even acknowledgement that he had just told us a bald faced lie! It is deeply worrying that the individuals who tend bags can be so dishonest. I would fear leaving my luggage with them.

We flew to Victoria via. Seaplane and walked from where we landed to the hotel. It’s convenient and beautiful.

All of the people who we interacted with went out of their ways to make us comfortable and to answer all of our questions. The High Tea was marvelous as was the waiter and the wonderful piano player. We were less than impressed with the room in what is known as a well above average grand hotel.

Love love love Empress Gold — breakfast bar was spectacular with so many options — hotel staff were friendly and professional and welcoming! View from the hotel was amazing! And the location is perfect!

Stayed on the Fairmont Gold level with breakfast included. The breakfast was generous with many different food items on offer except for a limited selection of egg dishes. The hotel has been recently refurbished. Only regret we had was the decision by the hotel to eliminate bath tubs in favour of showers. The check in for the Gold level is on a different floor from the main check-in. Supposedly, this is to ensure a more exclusive service but in practice it means making one’s way through a maze of hallways to arrive at what is a simple lectern with a screen attached. Half the time there was no one staffing this station. We checked out at the main check out with no problems.

Beautiful property with all of the amenities that you could want!

Great experience. Great ambience, quite convenient. All of the staffs were great.

The hotel is fabulous and very well kept. The location is second to none with easy access to public transportation and is within walking distance of everywhere.

What a gorgeous property!!! Everything is picture perfect! The grounds are stunning and the flowers unbelievably gorgeous. We were able to enjoy the Gold members “lounge” which is almost the size of a floor. Food, beverages, patio over looking the bay and indoor areas that don’t disappoint. So happy we were lucky enough to stay at such a special property.

What a wonderful experience! This is a beautiful property that has immaculately manicured grounds, lovely amenities/spa and a wonderful High Tea experience!

everything about the fairmont empress was excellent - comfort, cleanliness, very friendly and helpful staff, . . . .can't imagine any improvement. It was also a great value compared to other hotels on our travels. A great experience overall

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful city! We splurged one night at the Empress & was not disappointed. Everything was top notch & beautiful.
