Have stayed at the Hilton UAB a couple of time thus our reason to return. Some rooms could use refurbishing however overall no complaints.

The staff has been very friendly. The room was ready when we arrived and very clean. Parking is accessible and convenient. We woukd most likely stay here again. The A/C in our room wasn’t the greatest, but it wasn’t unbearable. Overall, we would recommend staying to others.

We stayed here 1 time earlier in the week and it was great. Unfortunately, the second time was not that great. I specifically booked a room that I knew would sleep 3 people (my parents and myself) and had a roll in shower for my mother who is disabled and in a wheelchair. When I arrived for checking around 9pm, they told me that the room I booked was not available. We got stuck in a room with 1 bed and no partial refund for the mess up. I had to have a roll away bed brought in which barely fit in the room. I was told that this was still a handicap accessible room, but it definitely was not. Yes, there was a roll in shower, but the bed was not lowered; my mom was not able to get into the bed as it was too high for her. My dad and I had to lift her in and out of the bed which was not ideal and dangerous.

Overall, decent place. Very clean, friendly, and accommodating. Only complaint was that the beds were not comfortable and made a terrible sound any time you moved.

After dropping daughter off at practice (5am) returning to room to find water dripping from vent , called maintenance again - he had no clue and kept saying he didn’t know what was wrong. Finally asked for different room , they gave us smaller room since we just needed to shower and get girls ready for half time show. Not once did front desk apologize, nor did they honor our included breakfast rate. The restaurant manager is the only reason I would return , she made it right and gave us our breakfast for free and let me tell you that was the best breakfast we have had!!try the waffles - they won’t disappoint !! Stephanie - you turned our day around !! She is the ONLY reason we would consider staying here again !

Check in was unfriendly and not helpful at all. Just handed us the key and moved on to next person. Had to ask another guest about elevators and parking options. Bathroom was not clean. Property was nice and easy to navigate but fell short on cleanliness and service.

I just stayed overnight for a precedures at uab. I checked in around 5 pm and checked out at 7:30 am. My only disappoinment was having to pay $15 to park my vehicle.

This hotel needs lot of improvements starting with AC units. The hallways are hot. Room was hot when we checked in.
The bed linen were worn out and no quilt layers.
Phone line was very bad and had to make multiple calls.
Some of the front-desk people cannot speak coherently and communication skills lacking. I had to ask the person 3 times to explain to me on parking or breakfast process.
When we came in for check-in, there were bunch of hotel vans blocking the portico and there was big line of vehicles waiting to get in. I noticed that the staff in the lobby have no clue on what is going in the portico. I had to tell the staff to move their vans so the customers can unload the bags. We are not staying at this hotel considering the price.

We were in Birmingham for a medi al appointment and had been told this property was a good place to stay. I can truthfully bsay we were treatedvery well by everyone we had contcat with. The staff at breakfast were very kind and friendly. Our shuttle driver was very friedly. The only complaint (and it isn't big) is that when we tried to call for pi k ppup no one answered the phone and we had to walj back to the hotel.
