The entrance and bar areas looked lovely. The rooms themselves although comfortable were a little jaded . However good value for money.

Greeted by a friendly young lady (great start) lovely evening meal(great) Down hill from there.i had a really important business meeting on the following day The fun started late evening when I was awoken by the fire alarm, stood in the freezing car park for 15 minutes this was followed by at least 4 other false alarms ( supposedly caused by someone smoking in their room.I understand from another guest this happened the previous . We have stayed there a few times over the last 12 months and really enjoy our stay at the hotel. Lovely room with open fire to sit and enjoy your drinks and the breakfast and food always really good. Booked again in December to stay sat and Sunday.

Nice and cheap room was ok clean and tidy but could do with updating Bed was to soft could do with replacing the mattress

My husband and I stayed overnight for a party and the entire staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a really good spread of high standard and the room was comfortable - really impressed

Hotel is good for the money better now after it being refurbished only issue in room 1 was the heavy dripping of rain from the gutters outside the bedroom window

One thing that is absolutely outstanding and makes the entire stay one of my favourite hotels I’ve been too, is the people!!! The staff go above and beyond, no request is too big and they couldn’t do more for you! If their aim is to make you feel welcome, special and really at home then well they are excelling!!! The hotel has a lovely vibe and charm to it, yes it’s older in places but it’s got a charm to it!! Ditch the modern chain hotels where no one knows your name or cares and come here, to feel truly relaxed and switch off from the busy lifestyle we all lead these days!! Being self employed it’s hard to switch off, but here I always manage to switch off…it’s got that vibe!! The food is very clean and fresh and prepared for with care! They cover gluten free too!! 5 stars!!! And all the stars for the staff!!

We got to our room and asked to be changed due to it being dirty. We then got to the new room and it was still dirty. We cleaned it a bit so we felt more comfortable. We asked to cut our stay short and for a refund which was refused. We then cut our stay short without a refund. I hope the hotel will modernise and hire more cleaners!

Very friendly staff who clearly work hard to ensure guests have a great stay. We stayed for several nights as working nearby. Breakfast was excellent. Evening meal selections not huge but we enjoyed what we had when we did eat in. Dated rooms but clean and comfortable. Recommended

Good breakfast and all inclusive rate , friendly staff. Exit traffic lights slow , dated bathroom and carpets. Needs refreshing in areas. Outside wood needs replacing.

Great stay, super friendly staff. Food is fabulous, bar area is nice. Our standard room was on the small side and in need of modernisation, however I understand times are hard and this is costly and there is alot of competition out there. Still would return here though. Would recommend.

Room needs doing up which I stayed in for the price you are paying I expected better facilities also the parking charge is wrong when you are staying In the hotel it should be free for the price of the room Staff very helpful and friendly

There were a lot of road work lorries even at 4 on Sunday. Not the hotel’s fault but with it being so hot I had the window open.

Not quite as described, issues for disabled people as blue badge parking is the furthest from the entrance and the 2 bays are not monitored. Room was ok (same as a travelodge) but to have a maid service was quoted at £25 though we were not charged, perhaps because we didn’t ask for the service and they forgot the towels anyway.
