A great little place to stay for a couple of nights. The only thing missing was a USB outlet to charge my phone. Other than that, everything was as advertised.

We didn’t see staffs at all. The room was not clean, our pillowcases were dirty with something like a make up foundations.

Didn't like the remote passive off-site check-in process. No personnel to address problems or issues. Cleanliness of room was questionable and housekeeping didn't even make up the bed. We noticed housekeeper rinsing out cups used in the room with the garden house which raises doubts with the cleaning and upkeep of the room. Overall property felt like a Motel-6 like accomodations. The room was extremely narrow and small unlike what is protrayed in the website photos. Very disappointed in the stay. Going to post this dissatisfaction on Yelp and Google.

Location was great for my trip. The staff was excellent, very helpful and nice. My room lacked amenities that would have been nice such as a plastic cups and the shower did not have any place to sit your soap or shampoo. Overall, it was fine and I would stay there again.

Finally due to another guest giving me a cell phone number, I was able to get room key. Post check out, I was billed $82 for "missing" pillow and blanket. I used the cell phone number to text the property and after threatening to dispute the transaction on my credit card, a credit was issued. The carpet was really dirty in the room. I have previously stayed at this hotel and am sad to see how it has declined in management.

This may very well be my favorite motel ever. The staff is top notch, extremely helpful, facilities are clean, and its an absolutely wonderful location.

El Rancho Motel is great for a couple or small family wanting to stay on Coronado and enjoy the island and the beach. Their rooms are clean, and while very small, offer enough space to relax. This motel is safe, clean, affordable, beautiful landscaping and nice patios. With a central location, biking the island is easy. You can even bike to downtown Coronado, which is only a 5 minute bike ride. From there you can go to the shops, or walk onto the ferry with your bike and cross over to downtown San Diego. You may also bike ride to the beach, or one of many amazing dinning spots for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The Rancho Motel is not a luxury stay, but for the price, it is perfect for safety, closeness, and a good night's rest.

It was perfect for what we needed. Clean, easy check in. Right in the middle of everywhere we needed to be. Bed was super comfortable.

Overall, it was OK, but we had no WiFi signal and there was a lot of noise from the street.

The room is quaint. Large restroom, nice bed, amenities great! Beautiful setting on property…felt better than home!

Walls were thin; I could hear a person’s phone conversation next door through the wall - at 6:30 a.m.! Also, finding a place to park is challenging if the motel’s five spots are taken.
