Perfect location - close to public transport, right across the street from a mall and pharmacy, and short walking distance from a promenade with a bunch of great restaurants. Great breakfast with more options than you know what to do with. Would definitely book again.

Ideal hotel for a short stay in Trondheim. Room wasn’t too spacious, but very clean, and great quality. Fantastic breakfast and helpful staff.

Great experience. Lovely place with great rooms. Located close enough for a walk into the town centre. Breakfast was great! Staff are friendly and welcoming.

The room was super clean and very modernized which was a welcome surprise! The hotel is situated close a number of restaurants and stores and is close to transportation, making it ideal for travelers.

Excellent location, very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. Our room's only window opened on the atrium, so no fresh air, and we heard breakfast sounds very early. The room was hot. The bathroom was designed for tall people/men - the main mirror set very far back from the edge of the sink and the little close-up mirror mounted on the wall at a height above my head.

Small bed, extremely hot. The chocolate on the nightstand melted… can open window but that is out to one of the most noisy streets in Trondheim.
This was not a hot day in Trondheim so no reason for the room to be this hot. AC was set to 18c with no effect.
The elevator engine is not well isolated and are heard on the room all night.
Breakfast was great. Delicate. Not to many people and friendly staff and good selection of breakfast items.
All in all I will not stay here again if I find another option. To be able to sleep without noise and sweating is the most important part of a hotel.

We've stayed at Solsiden before and it an ok hotel for this price level. Clean, good elevator capacity and indoorparking, though you need to pay for the parking.
Breakfast is also ok, the covid situation considered. The location is convenient with access to restaurants and shopping. A short walk to the city square and Nidelven.

I had to wait for 2 hrs to get a room allocated as their check in is at 2, but the spacious breakfast lounge on 1st floor is a pleasure to wait out and work. There are enough places to go about for walks if the weather permits. Very central location, the Solsiden Mall is just next door and you get everything that you ma need there. There's a supermarket (MENY) in the Mall ground floor. There is also a wine shop nearby. There are a couple of ATMs within easy reach.
