Wanted to give us a double bed and not queen bed as reservation stated…after long back and forth tired and angry, we got the queen size bed. Room had ants in the bathroom!

For a quick trip the hotel is fine. Rooms are small, much smaller than depicted. The rooms do not have a traditional coffee maker, fridge or microwave. Extremely basic and much farther to pier that depicted on map.

A kitch, hip vibe characterizes this former motel property updated into a contemporary place to stay in Santa Monica. The room was very comfortable, the location was great if you’re staying in West LA/beach area. Very easy access to the freeway system.

Best sleep I've had in a hotel in a long time. The hotel itself is super cute, super clean. It has character but is minimalist. The bathroom was large and came with a bathtub, not just a shower (I was in room #5 so not sure if this is the case in all rooms). Staff was super friendly, especially at check-out. Typically when I stay in hotels I wake up multiple times at night because the bed is triggering lower-back pain. This was NOT the case at Santa Monica Hotel so sleeping through the night and not waking up stiff and in pain was pretty awesome.
If you like a sweet spot with lots of character that reflects the place where you are visiting and that has good beds and friendly staff this is the spot for you.

This small hotel, but it is very near Santa Monica pier and Venice Beach, I think it’s a great place to stay with a family or to go for business. The staff is really friendly and also really helpful.

Room was small. Windows were open when we got in the room. No AC, which was assumed in Southern CA. Although named Hotel it is a Motel.

We had a two night stay. The staff was super helpful and friendly. However the room didn’t have air conditioning, I needed to ask for a new iron and extra towels since there was 3 of us but only 2 towels. Only had beach towels to buy, not use. They do have a water filter in the lobby to refill water bottles. The outside is a cute pink aesthetic. You can save $10 by not having housekeeping come by. They have free breakfast items but just prepackaged muffins, apple juice, granola bars, and fruit cocktail. They say the lobby is open 24hrs but it’s locked at a certain point so you have to knock and sometimes they’ve stepped away so you have to wait for them to come back. But budget friendly and beds clean.

Very close to a busy street that’s noisy. No AC. However, the bed and bathroom are very comfortable and clean. No closet space to hang anything. Nespresso machine in room is great to use. Shower head is powerful. Friendly staff. Limited breakfast items: breakfast bar, apple and muffins.
