Great pub and hotel, the staff were all lovely and friendly happy to help you with a smile. There is a car park and bus stop right outside also the train station is only a couple of hundred yards away.we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The meals were excellent. The room was clean and had everything needed including AC. Only problem for me was two flights of stairs Im not very mobile with arthritis in my knees and hips. Also the breakfast service doesn’t start until 10am and I would have loved to have been able to have breakfast there it looked very tasty! I will certainly be back and asking for a first floor room!

Comfortable place to say, with the bar next door makes it ideal, for us ,lovely food and a decent pint, staff always friendly, which is not always the case nowadays.

Room was very small. Air conditioner was not working, was hot in the room. Bathroom was very small and not so clean.

Ideal for work well priced

We got a warm welcome from the staff when we arrived, they were very kind and helpful. But the rooms, on the other hand, were not good at all. It was extremely dirty and moldy. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned, the carpet was filthy and the bed and headboard full of hair and stains. They didn’t clean the rooms at all under the period of 4 days we stayed there.

Reception staff was very nice. Steps to the room were steep, would have been great if they had lift Bit noisier than usual but couldnt blame as room is on top of a pub, moreover England won against Switzerland in football.

The staff were friendly and on the morning we were checking out we were still having breakfast, I asked the lady who was working there if it was ok to finish our breakfast and then check out, she looked into this for us and it was agreed that we could finish our breakfast and then check out, nothing seemed to much trouble. If you are staying here please do not take room 6, this room is right above the bar area and although I like a good party, I do not want to be awake listening to dance music with the room vibrating from the music, for this reason I will not stay again.

YET it must be said, the accomodation has past it's prime, no matter what the staff do to help everything is run down with practically all fittings and such being broken or almost, the only redeeming feature are the good beds and the good wifi. It's a pity but it's the truth, MacCafferty's needs at least a good maintenance staff to go through the place, and at best a complete overhaul. One could go into detail but enough said.

Great live music in the pub downstairs. Very convenient for the tube. Parking is convenient in the municipal lot, but has to be paid by app, which is more expensive than the posted rate.
