We stayed in the suite. It had a big kitchen, but it was mostly useless since it didn't come with anything in it. Seriously, there were about 8 empty cabinets and drawers. No soap, paper towels, dishes or anything.

The stay was mostly unremarkable. I generally choose Hyatt when I am traveling, although this is the first time I have stayed at this particular one. My only frustration with this hotel was the parking. It was hard to determine which parking was actually the hotel’s, and I was warned to not park in the parking lots of the neighboring Aldi and restaurant. When I arrived back around 10 pm from dinner and a movie, all of the spots at the hotel were occupied, so I had to park in one of the furthest Aldi spots, worried that my rental car may get cited or something. I got up and moved the car the next morning before I checked out. They need to annex more spaces or do something else.

We really enjoyed the pool, the BBQ outside and the fact that Aldi grocery store is across the street. Staff were great.

The staff here are always so amazing and kind to me. ANYTHING that I need is always taken care of they really make this feel like home! I often stay for the visits I make to my son who is in college nearby. I had packages sent there and they made sure I received them even after I’d left. I APPRECIATE you guys so much!

We would have given it 5 stars, but there were no towels in the room when we arrived. We also learned that you have to request to have your room cleaned or they won't do it. Otherwise the front desk staff was great, the breakfast was not bad, and the location was very good.

Excellent accommodations. The Hyatt Place Southpoint is now our Place to stay when we visit Durham. Beautiful lobby as you enter the property and the staff was very welcoming and attentive to our needs during the entire stay. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast buffet, complete fitness center, outdoor pool and a cocktail bar available as well. The Hyatt Place Southpoint did not disappoint.

Beautiful upgraded king suite. Salt water swim nine at night was such a treat. The shades are modern but a long line at top of bright sunlight perfectly hit my eyes in the morning. Ugh. However…. The best continental breakfast I have ever had at a hotel.

Breakfast was included and had good taste with some basic options. Hotel room and pool were clean, WiFi easily accessible and staff very friendly and helpful.

I liked the easy convenience and being surrounded by lots of shopping and restaurants. I didn’t like the seating at breakfast, could’ve been cleaner also

This property was not what I expected for amenities or service. Their in house restaurant had nothing in stock to serve guests dinner, instead they had to doordash or walk across the parking lot to go to another restaurant when it's far more convenient to stay in house.. plus more revenue for the hotel, but their bar was fully stocked. The front desk does not communicate well with each other & it's as if it's a game if the restaurant is open or not, during check in we were told not to allow them to tell us it's closed.. yet we were made to believe it was. The pool, something I absolutely wanted to do on my mini vacation first time to NC, was closed for "maintenance" but the front desk agent says that's what they do in the events of a hurricane & that the front desk agent who had no idea it was shut down shouldn't have let two of us guests use it, but mind you, the door to get out to the pool was temporarily exit only. Again, not convenient for the guests to have to get out of the pool & walk all the way around to the front. Rules on the pool such as showering first are also not marked well, & breakfast isn't exactly explained either given it was my first time doing it all. I'm a housekeeper at a local Inn in MA so I know good quality standards when I see it, & I didn't even get the option of robes in the room OR a mini bar.. for the price my mother paid for us to stay, we absolutely expected far better quality than what we got. Bite the bullet & book at the Hilton!

Overall a good experience. Noel at the front desk was top notch!! The air conditioner stopped working in the evening when we returned and we were too tired to change rooms. They do not have a technician on staff on Sundays, so we suffered through it.

Had a very nice stay. Staff was very nice.
