The service was great — everyone was helpful and kind. The infrastructure was not so good! The tv didn’t work and remained stuck on one cable channel… and the shower was VeRY difficult to operate (had to call maintenance to turn the nozzle for the shower)… I’m gen x — not an old woman — and I’ve never been unable to turn on a shower without help in a hotel before.

Elegant feel and very comfort bed. Our room was very small with no room for opening luggage. The staff was very helpful, particularly Ryan. So nice to have espresso and bottled water available all the time.

The flight was delayed, so I was able to check in at almost midnight. The hotel was under construction, so it was very uncomfortable, and when I entered the room, there was a bad smell, hair on the carpet and in the bathroom, and countless stains on the floor, so I went back down and rang the front desk bell, but since it was too late, no one came out, so I just slept that day. The next day, I had a conference early, so I left, and when I came back to the hotel during lunch, I explained the situation, and the staff offered me a discount and a late checkout. My son suddenly got a fever and was sick, so I didn't want to move to another room or hotel so I just accepted and decided to stay one more day. The next day, they said there was no note on the checkout, so I couldn't get a discount or a late checkout, and even though it was clearly the staff's mistake, they were very rude to me. I felt like I was being discriminated against. Before coming to Boston, I traveled to 10 countries in Europe and 5 cities in the US in two months, and this was the dirtiest, most unfriendly, and most uncomfortable hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. I don't know how such a dirty hotel can get 9.0 reviews, and most importantly, the staff is so rude and unfriendly, this is the first time I've ever seen such a hotel. I hope no one ever stays in this hotel again.

Nice small hotel, good for a short stay. Only real amenity was nice coffee in lobby and cold water.
Parking lot is not safe for people or cars. Valet was half heartedly offered when it should have been required. Do not self park.

Fantastic value, great stay.
I had lived in Cambridge for about six years and moved recently and I needed a one night stay before some friends could host me for a longer duration. This was just perfect for my needs and I could easily have stayed longer very comfortably.

This hotel is a marvelous hotel, very close to the Harvard Square, yet quite and cozy. There is a fire place in the lobby. Very classy and provides free coffee and tea.

The staff could not be more friendly. Location is right off Harvard Square. The rooms are all very very small. Most do not have a chair. No towel rack or fan in the bathroom. “Queen sized” bed advertised which should be 60” wide but beds are only 48” wide — so not even a true full size. I saw 4 rooms when checking in as I could not believe it. Rug in my room had large stains all over. Overdue for a renovation.

Cozy room. No fridge or microwave in rooms but able to store it in the coffee bar area fridge. Great easy access to water bottles, tea and espresso machine. Super convenient walk into Harvard Square and the campus.

Cozy hotel with attentive staff, right on Harvard Square across from the Arrow Street Theatre (what used to be the Oberon). A short walk to the amazing Harvard Art Museums (free!). No breakfast, but the lobby has tea and coffee including decaf from a fancy machine, and there's a mini mall on the corner with a diner, burger place, Chinese restaurant, cafe, and sushi spot (all of which do takeout), and a convenience store open until 11 pm. If you're visiting Harvard campus you should stay here!

Lovely location and staff were wonderful but quite dated and rooms not ideal. Poor lighting, worn carpets and amenities. But for location can’t be faulted

One factor in booking here was the note that parking was free - when I arrived I found out it was actually over $30/night but that was still good for the area I was looking at, so I based my whole trip on this surprise extra cost - and it was still an excellent experience, well worth it - but as a bonus, at the end they said the parking fees were waived because of the online booking through this site, so that made it feel like a huge bonus. The coffee was an automated espresso machine in the lobby - it was far superior to any room coffee I've had. I alternated working in the room and in the lobby for a change of scenery, both were great. Access wise, the location is incredible, a short walk to the Harvard T so I just left my car in the parking lot the whole time. Overall my biggest success at booking my own hotel online yet.
