It was so nice to have a really strong AC unit in Cartagena. My room was dark and cool and comfy. The reception was exceptional and let me check in at noon, even though check in wasn’t for a few hours. They helped me book a cab for the airport. Would highly recommend staying here!

I prefer not to get into detail, but if you have a second person in your room they will charge you. Even though I clearly marked and it was on my reservation that there would be two people. They still charged $70/day! No where is that in writing. I was kind of held captive to pay it. I’ll never come back. It’s unfortunate, because it is a nice property. They’re sneaky! Also tried to charge me for drinks I didn’t use from the mini bar and a stuffed animal that was clearly left on the bed.

My stay at Casa Don Luis was superb. The beautifully designed property creates a cozy, inviting, and relaxing environment for all guests. The staff was excellent! They were definitely the highlight. The location was very good. The room lacked natural sunlight. But, the decor and the lighting made up for it. Bathroom was very clean and spacious. Room service was prompt and efficient. The buffet breakfast was very very nice. A few minor things to be improved upon. But, for the money, a great 5 day stay. The staff Angie and Laura were great! They were very helpful with suggestions and were quite pleasant and kind. The cafe/restaurant staff, especially Juan Carlos and Eduardo and there were 2 others (didn't get their names). They were incredibly nice and helpful. I truly appreciated the welcome drink and cold mint towels were a fantastic touch!
The rooms were spacious and clean and comfy. The hotel was in a quiet area, but in walking distance to everything.
I wish the pool was a little larger, but it served the purpose and I enjoyed it.
