Lucie is a great and attentive hostess. This place Is very clean and has an old world charm. Super close to downtown and restaurants.

We had a room with a separate but private bathroom. It wasn't as bad as it seems because there was never anybody else in the hallway, however an ensuite would have been better.

Lucie was very welcoming and greeted us with a smile and all the information we needed for our stay!

stairs were very narrow and steep. the driveway was extremely narrow, lots of care needed! The bed was very hard and the pillows a bit lumpy.

I loved my quaint and spacious room and the location of Rideau Inn, right next to the hotspots on Elgin Street and only a 20-minute walk from Parliament Hill! The bathroom was not located in the room I stayed in, but out in the hallway, which didn't bother me in the slightest. Some rooms come with private bathrooms located inside the room, but I got a hidden gem with a larger room that had a ton of character. The bathroom wasn't huge, but it had everything a bathroom needs with great water pressure and heat. The bed was made daily, thanks to Lucie and the bathroom stocked with fresh towels. There was also a fresh breakfast available every morning for only $2. If you want a modern facility, then this is not the right place for you... but if you like old world charm and character... like I do... then you will enjoy the Rideau Inn.

I honestly liked everything about the Inn.

Lucie left me personalized instructions to help with my very late check in. Even before I arrived I felt confident and cared for because I knew how to enter, check in, and get settled. Once there, the room (Newfoundland Room) was pretty, efficient and comfortable. I found the bed was just the right softness and the air conditioner was easy to use and kept me cool. The breakfast was cleverly laid out so that there was a minimum of touching any food but a maximum of choices and a suitable variety of food. The coffee was strong and flavourful! The location was ideal - right downtown and very close to The Elgin Street Diner (a favourite spot for breakfast). I loved the history of the house and enjoyed the special touches of the Edwardian charm! I really enjoyed my stay!

No full length mirror so I could be sure I was as cute as a button before going out!😊

The room was wonderful. We love the fact that it is a century old house in a quiet neighborhood with a park across the street and steps from some amazing dining establishments. The staff we met were very friendly and accommodating. They explained how it all worked (secure front entrance, self serve breakfast, private washroom, check out procedures, etc) My wife and I definitely felt very much at home. Thanks for a wonderful way to spend our 40th wedding anniversary!

The lower level suite is small but very clean. The breakfast was good. Not a lot of selection but certainly adequate for our needs. Lucy, the Inn staff is great!
