Close to the airport
Hookers and pimps everywhere, didn’t feel safe

I didn't like anything about it
It was a non smoking room and as soon as we open de door the odor of cigarettes came out, it was making me sick! Unpacking my stuff I realized that all my clothes and stuff smell just like that, the location was terrible, the staff was always taking such a long time to do the check in and out. The first night a motorcycle gang stayed at the hotel and they had a party on the hallway, I heard them all night, the second night the room upstairs was making so much noise. The towels were gross (they had pubic hair tangled on them) the bed was terrible... And the list keeps going.

Hookers strippers on motel property. Elevator out of order. Scary motel guests. Security turning spotlights on us coming to motel at night.

The way that we registered by a staff
She treated us in a humiliating way and asked us to cancel the reservation and leave more than 5 times although we had a reservation from tow weeks before from booking
She said she couldn't find it on the system
I said to her it's nonrefundable but she said i shall return your money back but cancel
I refused since it was late at 11 pm
and tomorow i have a long flight back to my country
I gave her my master card and she charged me twice and took 100 dollar cash for deposit
And give a room at the third flat with out elevatir working in the hotel
I felt she was punished me and told me now my money did not come back through my card although she said it was a mistake and gave me void paper
It was a very bad experience and we stayed more than one hour outside a small window although we drive for 5 hours before
I didnot ask for the manger becuase i felt sorry for ger si ce she was handicap but this experiment was very bad not reccomend for any one
Font come her
At night i hear loud voices and i feel unsafe

The location

It is a very unsafe location. Homeless and sex workers were everywhere. Broken down vehicles and trash in the parking lot. We felt unsafe even getting out of the car.
The room was supposed to be non smoking. The cigarette smell was so bad it almost triggered my husband’s asthma attack but we left the room before it did. The door of the room had a huge gap at the bottom and looked like it had been kick in recently. There were dirty hand marks all over everything. The tub had a huge crack in it and was leaking all over the floor. It was AWFUL!!!

Customer service agent was friendly and responsive.
I understand that the Econo Lodge Portland Hotel was on the lower and cheaper price range of similar hotels offered in the area. However, at a bare minimum, I expect a non smoking room when I request a non-smoking room. While that is what our room was labeled, it had clearly been smoked in enough times that it left the pungent scent on my clothing and luggage from the short time I spent in the room.
The bed was made but had dark marks on the white sheets and the pillows were tossed around as if someone carelessly tossed them onto the bed or if they were not properly cleaned. I did not feel confident that the beds in that room were sanitized and washed after the last guests. The rooms deadbolt lock was hanging off the wall rendering it useless and the overall condition of the bathroom was unsanitary at best. I immediately went to the front desk to speak to the employee who checked us in and I was advised that I was unable to switch rooms as none were available. In addition, I spoke to other guests who had checked in the same time as I did and was advised they were leaving because their “non-smoking” room had been smoked in and that their bed sheets were also unsanitary.
In addition to multiple websites online, including the one I booked through, advertised a continental breakfast, sauna, and jacuzzi along with photos of such. Sadly, I was advised that those amenities were no longer offered due to Covid 19. While I will not get into the fact that the decease is now 3 years old and the rest of the country has since opened up, the living conditions were not safe and hazardous for my health. As a result, I had no choice but to cancel my reservation and check out just 30 minutes after checking into the hotel while I was left to find somewhere else to spend the night.
I cannot but help feel great sympathy for the sole employee who worked the front desk and had to deal with all of the dissatisfied customers while simultaneously checking in arriving guests.

The room was disgusting and found a bug on the bed it ruined my whole day because we had to leave the room

The cost was on point especially for a jacuzzi tub which is why I booked. I also found a room for cheaper then this but thought this looked nicer but pictures were not accurate enough and the tub was disgusting.
The staff refused to let us check in early and we had to wait next door in a ghetto area for hours and there was broke down motor homess outside our door in the street with a garbage pile house next to it. Made us feel unsafe.

I like the fact that I had a spot tub for price point that it was listed at..
I didn't like the RV parking outside of the property which was caused for a lot of late night screaming and fighting.

Thankfully the spa in the room worked and the actual location was perfect.
Definitely didn't feel like a suite. The room was always cold, even with the heater on due to a significant gap in the door. Could definitely tell that the room had been around for awhile as it just looked....beat up. And then with how thin the walls were I was constantly woken up by the other patrons either smoking/laughing or just loudly talking outside the door.

Spacious room Kool whirlpool tub.
The TV I didn't get to watch TV at all I don't even have cable at home and I still get to see more TV at home than I did there couldn't get to work no channels whatsoever so the whole time I had no TV that really sucked should have been discounted rate.

The room was not cleaned properly. Had hair and cigarette ashes in the bathroom. Sheets and blankets had stains and were wrinkled. The room had severe water damage from the room above. The thing that really bothered me was all the RVs parked outside and all the tents. I didn't feel safe walking around by myself especially at night.

Room was good. Floors pretty new and clean. Was little old paint but all pretty good.
I trusted the mattress and sheets no stains or smells.
Homeless people living in junk RVs on street Infront if parking. People on stairs and hollering was annoying. I left the room at 10:00 pm and drove 4 hours home. The parking is a bit tight and difficult to exit.

Nothing...
No lights that worked, only 1 electric plug in worked. Cable was not operational even after I brought my own extension cord and plugged the television into it it still didn't work. Wet towls were in the bathroom and it looked unkempt.

When checking out I experienced a courteousness and consideration of the cleaning person (a very nice older lady who spoke inspiring words that elevated my innermost being), and the lady who checked me out and returned my deposit to me exhibited a professionalism that was in a class of the best. Because of these two individuals, it is highly probable that I will choose to stay at this facility again. I shall also highly recommend this Econo Lodge to my family friends. Thank you so much for your amazing accomodations. God bless you.

It was seedy looking, Thugs standing around the lot and a homeless camp right next to it. One man on foot another on a bicycle looking in all the cars. I was afraid to get out of my car, let alone stay there.
