The breakfast was very good.

1st room, there was no TV; 2nd room broken down beds, no plastic cups, no shampoo, body wash in holders with one pump of shampoo in shower to wash hair and body. The staff was uncaring. When we told them we had AARP, Military, etc we were told that because we used a booking company we couldn't use our discounts. We were not aware that we used a booking co, we thought we had called the hotel. That is very deceptive !

Location is grest. The hotel is small, clean. Free parking and there is a courtesy shuttle you can sign up provided by the city. Room was comfortable and quiet.

Breakfast was weak. We went down at 8:00 am and there was no more oatmeal, sausage gravy pan was very scarce as were the scramed eggs. Coffee was good and there was pancakes & sweet rolls

Lady at check in desk on evening shift Friday and Saturday was extremely nice and helpful.

No bathtub, carpet in hallway needed to be vacuumed. The carpets in the room doorway unfinished leaving gap with what looked like dirt in them. Poor parking lot accomodations. Poor pillows.

Breakfast was good. Staff was pleasant. Rooms were comfortable.

The floors need to be vacuumed and cleaned. They were filthy. They need to clean each room with a clean mop not a dirty old one that just pushes the dirt and hair around.

Check-in was advertised as 4pm. I arrived at 5pm and no room was clean. I had a 6pm tour and at 5:40 my room still wasn’t ready so I was told to check in after the tour. I had to get ready in the lobby bathroom. I had reserved 2 queen beds. however the hotel called me and said they only had kings available and that booking wasn’t accurate. they also didn’t seem happy that I’d reserved through booking. even though I had requested a quiet room, I was given a room (#102) right off the lobby next to the elevator. I did ask for a different room and they said they’d all be that noisy. didn’t sleep at all.

This Holiday Inn Express is on the main street on Anastasia Island across the bridge from old St. Augustine, so a good price for the area for a comfortable, clean room, a good parking lot, & good wifi. In late December, St. Augustine is very crowded, & for whatever reason (rapid growth? Covid closures or staff shortages?) we found every restaurant had a 45min wait at 7:30pm - keep that in mind if you arrive late & hungry! BUT the "Tacos My Blessings" food truck next to Stampede (a short walk from the hotel) was AMAZING! Our burritos & fries were really delicious - this is the place to grab dinner & bring it back to the room... Along the same lines, the Holiday Inn breakfast is decent, but the little breakfast room is too small, so you may be eating in your room (or in the car!) Very happy with this overnight stay in St. Augustine - thanks!

This was my third time staying in St. Augustine and this hotel has been the best one so far. The staff were very friendly. The room and bed was very comfortable, everything was very clean, and the breakfast was the best one I've ever had at any hote. All for just $100/night!

A trash in the bathroom would be nice, unless your plumbing can handle anything.
