Ruido excesivo durante las primeras horas de la mañana , falla en la caja fuerte , mal internet , no cuenta con Smart tv, puerta de mosquitero no se podía abrir por falta de mantenimiento, normalmente nos hospedamos en villas paraíso del mar que me parece que es su marca hermana , a nuestro gusto ese está mejor cuidado y a mucho mejor precio , por probar algo “mejor” nos fue peor , saludos

food was ok, room too, beach was nice. we didn't have towels in one of our rooms, had to ask more than 3 times, and eventually go for then ourselves.

we weren't informed that the hotel didn't have water, and the pools were close because of that, instead we got an email. letting us know that the taxes were up.

[ trust my review- I’ve been coming to holbox for 8yrs and have been coming every month for 4 months lately to look for properties so we’ve stayed in a LOT of places on the island! ] location and rooftop pool are basically all this hotel has going on. it’s just outside of the main area which makes it a bit more quiet but still close enough. I’ve visited the rooftop pool many times in the past on day passes and it’s cute. The main pool is out of water so the small rooftop pool was way more crammed with not enough daybeds. Oh also! Vincente (?) from the beach who was serving us was great! He really made you feel taken care of and showed the best hospitality in the entire place.

1. The staff could care less if you were to return. When you arrive, nobody greets you and have people at the front desk that look annoyed to work. nobody gave us the run down of our stay (when breakfast is available, where anything is, spa options, etc) they just check you in, give you Wi-Fi, room cards, bracelets and a schedule of hotel activities and you go on with your bell boy w the luggage who says nothing to you at all. if you don’t ask, you won’t know anything. To get towels, you need to go to the front desk and put a deposit down, which they don’t even remember to give you back unless you ask for it) and to book for the spa, we made a res w the woman on the beach who was pushing them for the hotel but you have to go back to the front desk and pay to lock it in. why can’t it just be billed to our room?? (My husband’s massage w the main lady was great he said. Mine was a man that did not know what he was doing at all. I’d say it’s hit or miss). When you checkout, they also don’t say thank you for your stay/ hope you enjoyed it. It’s like they know you didn’t and don’t care anyways. We asked them to take luggage from the room but leave our bags on the couch bc we were coming back from breakfast as we needed to gather more things. They took everything and left it all not even close to the desk where it’s safe, just on the farthest couch near the walkway of all guests by the entrance of the hotel (it’s at least 20 feet away not close enough to be safely supervised + a backpack had almost every zipper open). then the lady at the front desk doesn’t even crack the smallest smile when you approach her and was just rude. like wondering if they got anyone that trained in hospitality?? 2. Food: not great. Breakfast is not great compared to what’s offered elsewhere. There are PLENTY of great dinner options offsite and at different hotels so absolutely no reason to stay here and eat dinner.

This our second time visiting the island and chose this hotel again because of the location. It is away from busy main st area but not too far so that you can walk to it or like we do rented a golf cart to get around the island. There are no cars allowed on the dirt roads. This hotel is really beautiful. they have a great buffet area and wonderful rooftop sushi restaurant as well as a private beach club area with service. The rooms are very clean. We booked an upstairs unit for the view from the hammock on the balcony but next time getting the downstairs with the private pool. They also offer room service. It is family friendly but mostly everyone goes to relax onsite and party in the many great restaurants and lively bars on the main st areas.

Constructive Criticism: We do not like that the bathrooms do not have AC. It can be very hot and humid as this is a year round summer climate environment. We did not like that the hotel did not advise us at booking or at least before arriving that the main pool was closed due to a water shortage issue that had been occurring for weeks. We would have booked the suite with the private pool as those were working. The beach is nice but there is nothing like jumping into a pool on a hot day; which was very hot that weekend and my husband that does not like to be in the sand was looking forward to it after a 5hr Flight/Airport experience, a 2.5 hrs drive, a 30 min ferry and another 30-40mins renting the Golf cart to walk into the lobby to be told that theres no pool...with no compensation not even a comp food or beverage. We did not like that they are like Towel Nazis. They failed to give us the towel cards at check in and then when we got them and went to get the towels they were rough and worn out looking. This hotel is catering to higher end guest and should be all inclusive instead of piece by piece style.

Super friendly staff, good breakfast (get the chef to make something fresh) and nice design of the rooms.

Although the bedrooms felt clean, there were stains on the sheets and I got glass in my foot in our room.

Room was impeccable. Great Location to beach. Overall resort is beautiful. Our room was spacious and perfect for our needs.

Staff at pool area seemed bothered by towel request or any request with exception to Vicente he was so accommodating. This is our second time staying at HM Palapas (1st time HM Paraiso transferred us over due to COVID restrictions) and the staff at HM Palapas are not as friendly as at HM Paraiso.

front desk staff was not as nice as we expected when we did the check in. However, they were nicer when we did the check out and paid the bill. The toilets in the restaurant were quite dirty.

our stay at villas HM Palapas was absolutely perfect. the location, the villas, the beach beds, the serenity and ambience. I would love to stay here again and would highly recommend to everyone.

Our room had an adjoining door so we could hear a lot of noise from the next room, didn’t notice so much at night time

Location of room next to nightclub and bathrooms staff was busy and we could hear the moving of equipment Also neighbors were very noisy kept us up all night. Not fault of hotel . Unfortunate luck . Would rather have been placed on outer buildings. Those appear to be quieter .

The property is small but lovely. We enjoyed the noise of children playing in the pool. And we were just steps from the beach.

The bathrooms were dark.
