I recently had the pleasure of staying at El Corazón Boutique Hotel in Holbox, Mexico, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived until the time I checked out, the staff members Natalia and Fabio, who were both receptionists, and Francisco, who took care of the breakfast service, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional. Natalia and Fabio were the epitome of hospitality. They warmly welcomed me upon arrival and were incredibly attentive throughout my entire stay. They provided me with all the necessary information about the hotel's amenities and even recommended some fantastic local attractions and restaurants. Their genuine enthusiasm and dedication to their guests truly made me feel like a valued visitor. Francisco, who managed the breakfast service, was an absolute gem. Every morning, he greeted me with a smile and made sure I started my day off right with a delicious and satisfying breakfast. His attention to detail and willingness to accommodate any dietary requests or preferences were truly commendable. Not only did he excel in his role, but he also exuded a genuine passion for his work, making each dining experience a memorable one. Now, let's talk about the room and its decoration. El Corazón Boutique Hotel pays incredible attention to detail when it comes to the aesthetics of their rooms. My accommodation was beautifully decorated, combining elements of traditional Mexican design with modern touches. The room featured vibrant colors, local artwork, and carefully chosen furniture, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. It was evident that the hotel's interior design was thoughtfully curated to reflect the culture and spirit of the surrounding area. Beyond the exceptional staff and stunning room decoration, El Corazón Boutique Hotel also excels in other areas. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a short walk away from the breathtaking Holbox beach.

owners effectively charge almost additional 10% as they take booking.com dollar price and use fixed rate of 20 pesos = 1 USD - which at time we where there was almost 10% above actual rate… this is just unprofessional and not serious business practice

Our experience was exceptional from the moment we arrived. Fabio took our luggage to our room and came back with a cup of delicious fresh juice for us to enjoy while we checked in. Paulina gave us the grand tour of the place and explained everything to us. The room smelled amazing, very luxurious bath products. They provide slippers to wear in the room. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The third floor terrace was so beautiful, in the evening , you can see the sunset. There is an area to wash the sand off your feet and slippers. Such a quick walk to the main area, but just far enough away that it is tranquil and quiet. We were able to rent bikes through the hotel. The owner said we should ride towards the ecological preserve and it was the best place, you come upon the what feels like a secret beach with a huge sandbar you can walk out to. We also arranged transportation to Cancun airport though the hotel, and everything was smooth and timely. They even prepared a to go breakfast for us on our last day bc we were leaving so early. So many amazing little touches, I could go on and on. This place is a true GEM and it’s run by the NICEST people.

The hotel is beautifully put together and the staff at reception are excellent. The breakfast is very nice and the rooftop location is lovely.

We stayed at three hotels during our time in Mexico and this one was the most expensive. But it was the one we enjoyed the least unfortunately as we didn’t feel it was value for money compared to the others. I originally booked based on the excellent reviews, but we found that our room was very small. There was little to no soundproofing so we heard the room next door come and go, and the birds live right at the window so when they do their morning calls at sunrise it is very loud and you’re awake. Also the housekeeper did some odd things like throw out some chocolate we had, always turn off our AC, and move our things all around the room to random places. The shower also sprayed water everywhere including onto the toilet seat. We also booked a tour through the hotel that was average (guide wasn’t very knowledgeable), and very expensive compared to other tours you can book direct so not sure if there was a surcharge the hotel have added, or they just refer a more expensive company?

Fabio and his team at El Corazon are incredible, the experience from start to end was like being welcomed into a family - incredible recommendations sent ahead of our stay (everything from excursions to restaurants to how to get around). The hotel is 100m from the beach, the rooms are beautifully designed and have everything you need. The artisan shower and bathroom products made for a real spa experience! The breakfast (included) is absolutely delicious and our waiter Francisco was a gem. Would highly recommend.

Everything! An absolutely perfect stay. From the incredible staff who couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive to the most comfortable, clean and tranquil room. Not to forget the BEST hotel breakfast I have ever had (and I travel for living!) So many wonderful little touches too (we we’re celebrating our anniversary) that made our stay just magical. We can not wait to come back and stay again.

Our stay was amazing! The property is very well taken care of and clean. The owner takes a good care of design and every small detail makes you feel cozy and at home. The bed is very very comfortable. We changed three hotels in 2 weeks in Mexico and this is the first time that my back didn’t bother me in the morning. The breakfast is delicious and fresh. And the most important thing that the staff is welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel and we would stay there again.

The only small thing to take into consideration is that there is no black-out curtain in the room. If you are a light sleeper like me bring your favourite sleep mask.

The hotel was wonderful—beautiful in every way. The sheets were DREAMY-soft. We loved the room and bathroom (and double shower!) The property and rooftop breakfast was awesome, too.

The area around the hotel wasn't the best, though we did feel very safe still. The mosquitos were pretty bad and we wished there were some fans on the property so we could enjoy being outside on the patio (without the ocean breeze, it needed some air movement to help with the mosquitos I think.) Also think it would be great if the rooftop breakfast area was a little happy hour spot in the evening since there are no fridges to keep drinks in the room.
