GREAT BREAKFAST

The staff was tremendous. Very friendly and attentive. The rooms were meticulously maintained while we were there and I was thoroughly impressed by their attention to detail. The food was wonderful. We tried many options in town and along the beach while there and it could not compare to the exceptional experience at Villa Caracol. Lastly, great place for families and children of all ages!

There were a couple of days that our beach was crowded to the point where there were not enough lounge chairs for the hotel guests. It would be great to have more available if that were to happen.

Have stayed here a few times, love it. Super comfortable rooms and just a great vibe. Won't be the last visit!

We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights as part of a larger trip around Mexico for our honeymoon. This was potentially our favourite stop! Our room was absolutely beautiful (we had a junior suite I think with a balcony facing the garden). The hotel itself was so clean and nicely decorated, everything was incredibly comfortable and we were provided with anything and everything we could think of. The location was perfect, out of the main centre so it felt peaceful but not so far that we couldn't walk in for a drink or some food in the evening if we wanted to. The staff were all so helpful and freindly! It was also my birthday whilst we were there and we had a couples massage on our balcony that the hotel organised and it is definitely something I would recommend!! We also made use of the kayaks that the hotel provide and there were a couple of nights live music which was really magical.

The only small, tiny downside was that our room was above the water pump for the hotel. So at random times in the night and early morning it would wake us up when it suddenly started up. We mentioned this to the staff incase there was another room available but understandably everything was booked up. They were very sweet and gave us a bottle of wine as a gift which was unnecessary and very appreciated. After the first night we just made sure we used ear plugs and we got used to the noise and slept through. I think this would only be an issue if you were a light sleeper and had our exact room! It certainly didn't ruin our trip and we had the most amazing time!

The included breakfast was good, so bad they restaurant doesn’t opens until 8:00am, our last day we had to leave at 8 so we weren’t able to have our breakfast at the hotel . Before staying in Villas Caracol we stayed at Palapas del Sol, breakfast there starts at 7:00 am and we loved the service, the were super kind. Palapas del Sol also has a great beach location, bigger sand area, no sargasso and their beach Palapas are the best, they cover really well so you don’t get sun burn.

Hotel concept, everything has an extra charge, drinks and food are expensive, and there is not much open area. To many things cramped in a small area. Beach is ok, however the hotel doesn’t have a palapas or a good way to provide shade at the beach. Just some triangular pieces of cloth (?) that don’t cover much, so we couldn’t spend as much time at the beach as we wanted.

probably the best hotel room I’ve ever had, beautiful huge room, massive comfy bed, so much room and a bonus 2 story terrace overlooking the pool, Pam trees and ocean :) staff were super helpful and accommodating

For such an expensive hotel I’d assumed there would be sun loungers on the beach. the tide stays in a lot so there is hardly any room for loungers however all the other hotels had decking above the beach for the beds but this hotels decking had fallen apart which looked scruffy and was annoying as no where to sit on the beach. we had to go and pay for some from another hotel further up the beach. as the room was right by the pool and restaurant the music was very loud in the room

The beach is very nice, we had sargaso, but the hotel does everything it can to clean it. So we were mainly in the pool. Rooms very comfortable, food very tasty and the staff very helpful and welcoming.

This is a tough question because the same thing that I disliked was what I loved. I disliked that there was very bad service and Wi-Fi at the hotel. It definitely kept us off of our phones, but something should be available that is better than what we had.

Very friendly staff and really spacious room. Internet at the work station was excellent. Fair prices.
