The property was ideal for our purposes, a short break for two couples (advanced years....) in this astonishing 'castle' overlooking the 'Bastide' or city of Carcassonne. We were metres away from countless bistros and restaurants, all of which were reasonably priced and produced lovely dishes it seemed. Silvia's gite was comfortable, stylish and functional. Very pleased with our choice.

We had a fantastic time staying at Sylvia’s property. We’ve stayed in Carcassonne several times, but this the first inside the Ramparts. So convenient, we had everything we needed close by and also in the property. A great host who was so helpful, a great place and a great location. Thanks again!

Gite is in a great location. Very spacious for up to four people with pretty much everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Would recommend Restaurant Adelaide. Fixed price is very good value and quality. The location is right in front of the Chateux ramparts, quite atmospheric during the evening. Also an aperitif on the garden terrace of Hotel de la Cite with some very scenic views across to the new cite. A big thank you to Sylvie for making our stay a very memorable and enjoyable one.

L'arrivée a été un peu chaotique, le garde-barrière ayant refusé de nous laisser entre sous les remparts pour déposer nos bagages. L'appartement très bien situé, en plein centre de la cité de Carcassonne, est très confortable. Le parking gratuit, à proximité de la cité, est un plus. Le seul souci est le manque de climatisation (bien qu'il y ait des ventilateurs), qui transforme les chambres, sous les toits, en étuve lors des nuits chaudes de l'été. Sinon, le reste est parfait. La photo d'accroche de l'annonce ne montre en fait que l'entrée de la rue, ce qui est un peu trompeur. L'appartement et en fait situé plus loin dans la rue, une petite porte entre un magasin de poterie et un restaurant, et ne donne pas sur la place. Au final, un bon séjour, une fois la canicule passée.

Set right in the heart of the beautiful old city, we had everything we needed for an unforgettable weekend.

We stayed at Sylivie's Gite for 4 days/3 nights in July. The Gite was spacious, well organized, clean, and very nice. We had everything we needed (minus a few towels, but it was no problem). The Gite is located right in the heart of the Medieval City, so we were always only a few steps away from the action. We also ventured outside the city one day, and the parking is very convenient. We had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The only negatives we encountered had nothing to do with the Gite itself, but circumstance...such as the heat! It was very hot while we were there. We would stay here again, for sure. Thank you Sylvie!

There are very few places to stay within the walls of this fantastic city, so if you find this apartment available, I would book it! It is really is in the most perfect spot for exploring the walled city and right opposite the 5 star Hotel de la Cite if you are feeling in the mood to be pampered. Really well equipped kitchen and lovely bistros literally right on your doorstep if you don't want to cook! We were 4 adults and were very comfortable in the very clean, mix of ancient and modern apartment. Sylvie, our host, was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We can't recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be returning!!

Nous avons eu un temps magnifique. Le gîte a été incroyable. Un vrai bijou à l’intérieur des murs de la ville.

La location au cœur de la cité Médiévale est entièrement neuve, tout le confort nécessaire est présent et il est de qualité ! (Nous recommandons particulièrement la literie). La location permet de s'immerger dans l'ambiance de la cité, un parking proche permet de d'explorer la région sans crainte du stationnement au retour. La gentillesse de la propriétaire est réelle.

Pasamos 4 días en familia en el corazón de una ciudad preciosa en un alojamiento estupendo. Sobresaliente en limpieza, tranquilidad, comodidad y localización. La propietaria es encantadora y nos ayudo en todo lo necesario. Totalmente recomendable.

Sylvie and her husband made us so welcome and when we entered the apartment we were overwhelmed by its style and character. The outside space is an additional bonus. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this beautiful property. We look forward to seeing Sylvie again, she was the perfect hostess.

Cette location située dans le cœur de la cité médiévale de Carcassonne est tout simplement extra ! Nous avons séjourné avec nos 2 enfants en bas âge (2 et 4 ans) avec tout l'équipement nécessaire et en parfait état (neuf) / propreté etc... La propriétaire est très gentille et à l'écoute de ses locataires. Son mari nous a également accueilli à l'extérieur des remparts et nous accompagné jusqu'au parking puis à l'appartement... Nous souhaitons juste avoir l'occasion de revenir en été pour profiter de la terrasse qui doit juste être un pur bonheur pour les soirées estivales !!! A recommander les yeux fermés !!! We stayed with our two young children (2 and 4 years) with all the necessary equipment and in perfect condition / cleanliness etc ... The owner is very kind and attentive to her tenants. Her husband also met us outside the walls and accompanied us to the parking and the apartment ... We just want the opportunity to return in the summer to enjoy the terrace.... should be pure bliss for summer evenings! Recommend eyes closed!
